İbrahim starts to search for the perpetrators of the assassination attempt to him. However, trying to kill İbrahim isn't İskender Çelebi's only plan. İskender gets Ulama Pasha's support and privides İbrahim to change the army's direction.
Meanwhile, Prince Mustafa sets sail to a new love. He goes out to check the Manisa's shopkeepers in disguise. He comes across with Helena whom he has seen and been charmed by before while he was in thto e bazaar. Unfortunately, Helena doesn't respond him as he has expected but he doesn't give up on being persistent.
On the other hand, it's continued to the preparations of the entertainment which will be laid on for Suleiman. Firuze is also among the odalisques that was called for it. She dances so ravising that Suleiman gets enamoured. As Sultana Hürrem learns that, she starts looking for the odalisque that she doesn't even know.
Will Hatice decide that Nigar will be executed? Will Hürrem prevent Hatice to go to Suleiman's room? Will Prince Mustafa meet with Helena?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Mehmed had everything Suleiman would want for an "ideal" son to have as a candidate for the throne. He was smart, strong, distinctive, truly kind, thoughtful and, of course, obedient. I know, many people think that Mehmed was too obedient and interpret it as weakness or lack of personality. But we are talking about an Empire here...Someone being obedient, especially when so close to the Emperor, was what kept them alive. They were supposed to be, first obedient, then anything else. Suleiman wasn't an ordinary father and as we saw later on history and on the show, he was more of an Emperor than a father. It wasn't weakness. On the contrary, Mehmed was fully aware of his duties and his purpose and he served them in the best possible way. That's why he was Suleiman's favorite -and the next Sultan if he had survived.

@@lovelydove8770 Everyone blamed Hurrem for playing bad against Mustafa. But, when looking at all the things Mustafa did, he made his own mistakes without Hurrem's help. Hurrem only had to wait for Mustafa to be disobedient and arrogant to expose Mustafa. Mehmed deserved the throne more because he knew he should not act like Ibrahim and Mustafa in an arrogant way and as if they were the emperor

I loved Mehmet. Mustafa was a good son, however, Mehmet was most loyal. Never had any ambitions for the throne. He never planned against Mustafa or his dad. He was the most worthy prince.

Mustafa conspiring against his dad has never been proven to this day. Also, the first born is the RIGHTFUL heir to the throne by tradition, so being committed to the throne before it is passed on is more than natural. Just like it can be made to believe that Mustafa wanted to overthrow his father, we can also me made to believe that Hurrem played dirty and set Mustafa up. Let's be fair.

They were both brave Princes, well-educated and the most important, no one would be able to harm one another, because they were always beloved and united, so no one would kill one another for the throne, no one would ever use dark paths and canning uses, in order to participate in bllody games for the throne.

Bayezid was truly the best prince, truly loved brothers, the only warrior among the Suleiman's princes, but somehow he was in the shadow of his brothers and justice. He was hot tempered, made so much mistakes, but generous and warmhearted, full of love. Among all the princes, he was the only one who was capable of expanding territory of the empire and to gain loyalty of his subjects at the same time. If he lived up to take a throne, I'm sure he wouldn't kill his brothers...he had an opportunity to kill Selim but still didn't (which was the mistake as we saw later), he helped Mahidevran make a turbe for Mustafa even if he wasn't his full brother. He have never had an opportunity to prove himself as worthy, sadly, because he truly was the one

Peak of the Ottoman Empire right here, in that Janissary Ceremony. A legendary Padişah who is respected and feared by all and has already done so much, and still being young enough to do more (although in real life he doesn't do much extra), a capable Grand Vizier who could pretty much rule the Empire by himself but is extremely loyal to the Sultan, an experienced and strong Şehzade who is already well liked by the military and supported by high ranking statesmen, and a young but passionate Şehzade willing to further his knowledge and experience to greaten the Empire's legacy. If only all 4 of those men worked together (along with Barbarossa), the Empire would've been unstoppable!

Those Janissaries had so much power, even they executed sultans(for example: Osman II).They are the main reason for the downfall of the empire. It took them 3 centuries to got rid of them, if they got rid of them earlier the Ottoman Empire could be great as other empires(British Empire, Russian Empire, Mongol Empire, Spanish Empire, Qing dynasty of China)

Emine Hatun(mother of Murad II) and Gülbahar Hatun(mother of Selim I) never recevied the title of Valide Hatun,as they died before their sons ascended the throne. Hürrem Sultana(mother of Selim II),Mahfiruze Hatun(mother of Osman II), Muazzez Sultana(mother of Ahmed II), Mihrişah Kadin(mother of Mustafa III),Şermi Kadin(mother of Abdülhamid I),Tirimüjgan Kadin(mother of Abdülhamid II),Gülcemal Kadin(mother of Mehmed V) and Gülustu Hanim(mother of Mehmed VI) never recevied the title Valide Sultana, as they died before their sons ascended the throne.

Honestly I like Şehzade Mehmet but in the show act always just to make dad happy and in the end look as false. Honestly I will have little fear to him as Padişah. I learned that the most quiet in the end are the worsts and the most tyrants. But if he is so sweet I'm not surprise that for Mahidevran will be easy kick him out. The problem with Mehmet was that they made him too “ perfect “ and well perfect is boring ( real life as well) he had no proper character development, was way too nice with nonexistent ambitions and cunning, became mustafa blind supporter and always apologise for everything remotely bad he happened to say him , never rebelled ( standing up and showing backbone) to anyone which made him look like a robot It’s not the actors fault but the show gave him nothing to work for

I honestly liked Mihrimah as a character I liked the fire like temperament she had , especially in season three , more interesting to analyse then the perfectly boring and virtuous ( and by that i mean pretty and silent like a doll " flawless princesses were used to see on others shows She was far from perfect neither was she an angel but she felt realistic at least . Season four kinda ruined her tho
