Mega Man Zero 3 (GBA), Perfect Run/No Damage speedrun of Deathtanz Mantisk's stage (Old Residential) (100 Pts.), played on a NG+ save file. This no damage run's purpose is to show off more of Zero's potential via the EX Skills over charge attack spam. As such, charged attacks (excluding Recoil Rod, since there's universal utility with it and it's damage sucks) will not be used after the intro stage. Deathtanz Mantisk (Old Residential Area) Strategy:
Not much to really look out for in the first half of the stage. Just your standard speed playing. RNG resetting shenanigans and whatnot. But when we get to the second half, things can get a bit hectic if you're trying to get 100 points. Avoiding damage can get a bit rough because you're trying to touch base by killing every enemy up until the last corridor (where we can finally start skipping some). This is mainly because the enemies are so placed together in these sections that it can be a bit annoying to remember their placement, even if you've ran the stage like a thousand times like I have. Plus, waiting for the plants to multiply can also kill the momentum a bit (though that was just me milking points because I lost track of my enemy counter, lmao).
Nothing to comment about Deathtanz other than him being one of the few bosses that can deviate from his pattern if you stand too close to him. So, you really have to be on your toes and properly space yourself throughout the entire fight (I was actually getting a little too close for comfort in this take, which was why he was throwing me off with those random scythe throws).
