What must you have heard from the great repertoire of classical music? Mahler's Fifth!
It was initially received cautiously by the public: Mahler wrote that the Fifth was a "cursed work", "no-one can get it". But that has long since changed, and today it is one of the most popular symphonies of all. And it has even made a film career: Luchino Visconti used the "Adagietto" from it in his cult film "Death in Venice".
Philippe Litzler, solo trumpet, plays us an excerpt from Mahler's 5th Symphony.
