He is a real NBA legend, stood for his beliefs and didn't give in to prejudice and bigotry despite the loneliness against the media, the league and silence of his coaches and teammates. Amazing and inspiring documentary.

What a class act. Articulate, intelligent & modest. NBA needs to do something after blackballing his career. I admire him for the things he has over come & not just for taking a stand against social injustice but his medical condition( tourette's syndrome). He's resilient in all that he has had to battle. I understand his position. My position is until your religon in addition to other things, respect women, there will be a huge divide. This is one of the reasons there is a divide between our worlds. We are a country that has proven we will go to war for our "beliefs" and your religon allows followers t blow up planes and buildings. And just like the IRA, the Western world would not accept it. The poverty in the Muslim world is sad.

I remember when Mahmoud was getting coverage for this back then....they made him out to be a negative weird outcast without going to into why he was doing it. The media portrayed him perfectly as the boogeyman who was standing against American beliefs.

I remember as a kid my friends and I felt that he and Craig Hodges were did dirty. There were some older guys who schooled us to what happened but like he said back then there was no social media, if the league wanted you gone you were gone. It would be nice to see the NBA do the right thing by him and others who were quote un quote blackballed from the NBA.

Wish I didn’t have to pay for college and wish I didn’t have to work while going to school since my family can’t afford it. I’m searching for this generational wealth he is speaking of. That’s why I am working hard and going to school to get a good job and trying to start a side hustle. Can’t blame my parents or grandparents or anyone. I have to work hard if I want to succeed. Then eventually my family might have that generational wealth.
