I'm not a fan of acrylic covers but if I had to get one, that would be it. At first glance they looked like Bloodwood . They look great. I have a #29 coming in with Snakewood covers, can't wait. Should be here Saturday if the USPS cooperates.

GEC certainly did an awesome job on this pattern! With the 3 back-springs they were able to lengthen the 2 secondary blades, making them even more useful. Great drilling job with your Awl/Punch; you put the knife right to work! :)

GEC canceled my snakewood #29 pre-order with my GEC dealer. Great Eastern Cutlery is the "Dick Tease" of American knife makers. I did end up with a #29 Burnt Sienna jigged bone and #29 Bloodwood. I ordered a Southern Long Beards "Karen" knife by Seth Borries. "Forged in Fire" champion. He will make me a "Snakewood" knife in carbon steel.
