Great stuff I had one of those in the 70s. This Renault van was quite unusual for Majorette as most of their models had opening doors or bonnet etc but this didn't. Majorette made some wonderful models back then much better than the made in China rubbish of today.

I am impressed with the way you remade the broken flaps with the superglue/powder method. Another old treasure restored.

In Spain, these toy cars were given away with some Siro brand cookies, I perfectly remember opening the box with more desire for the car than for the cookies hahaha

I like Majorette of this period the most, better than any other. The three-star-wheels run great and had the best suspension. The models were common cars, no fantasy, i liked that as a kid, it's cool, that you restore them so much.

Excellent Restore Brother.... Cheers🍻 Last Sunday I met a guy who replicate & rebuild these vintage scale models in resin with 3D printer. Saw couple of his builds too...But somehow the feel of metal diecast was not there, though he did add metal weights, it was too neat a job. Anyway the old school hand built charm & the addiction to restore, was missing. 😌 🙏

Lovely job! I had one of these, but with French Post Office (P.T.T.: Postes, Télégraphes, et Téléphones) decals. Majorette were very popular in the UK in the 1970's/80's - they made loads of really nice models, and of cars of the type that your dad might drive. These Renault vans were a common sight on British roads - some are still going. Lovely restoration of a classic model. Thank you. 👍👍👍

I love this resto! It reminded me of being about 20 and told to drive one to a customer It was my first at left hand drive and it was like driving a jelly! 😊😂

aw, nice. ^^ the service renault fleet is growing. :) too bad Majorette never made the sedan. my dad used to drive Renault 4 up to early 80's. His last model was a 1975 model year, with the new flat black plastic grille, but still with the small front blinkers. then he parked the car against the rear end of a mercedes, and they had to swicth tho the late engine hood with the large blinkers with parking lights in them... ah, the memories. I had two of these models, one red, and one the yellow telecom france model. I must have repainted the yellow one a dozen times... XD

Majorette was the best french car manufacturer ever ...

Ah the good old 4L. During the Sixties, the French roads were afloat with Citroën 2CV, 4CV, of course DS, and the Renault 4L. My sister and I played at counting each model passing on our own side, and we got 2 points for every car NOT these models 😊

I actually had one of those majorette Renault 4 vans when I was a kid but was red French fire service one I think your one probably dates from the mid 80's as my was brought in 1980 when I was remember I well as local newsagent started selling them then great little project there paul

Oh I had a toy like this, a post truck but instead of a Renault 4, it was a Citroën 2cv. The same color. It was the first toy ever that came from "western" countries. My uncle gave it to me brand new from a travel he made. The only other places to buy these were the "intershop" which were too expensive for my parents. They had matchbox but I don't remember seeing majorette there.

Toutes mon enfance ce véhicule j en et fait des parcours avec cet 4l fourgonnette j en avait plusieurs 4l Avec les coccinelles les r5 les ds break les combi wolwagen Taulé ou avec vitre le camion essence et la jaguar long nez et une Chrysler les années majorette année 70 mes années bonheur Belles restauration du véhicule Tu as pris des risques quand tu as coupé la tige qui tient les roues c est très difficile a faire tenir après tu as le coup de main ça ce voit bravo
