Your mini Phoenix Lord looks a lot like Warhammer40K's version of the Predator. I imagine after taking one look at all the prey available across the galaxy, he would be trying not to drill a hole in his armoured jockstrap.

For anyone who wants more information on the Striking Scorpions go and read the Path of The Eldar novels. The 1st one Path of the Warrior follows an Eldar as he goes through being a Striking Scorpion. Shows how badarse Karandras shows up near the end the book as well, he massacres Space Marines and even manages to stop a Dreadnought from stepping on an Aspect Warrior by briefly getting under it an pushing the foot back (I think, it has been quite a while since I have read these books so may be misremembering)

Both the eldar series and the dark Eldar series are worth a read. I particularly enjoyed the path of the incubus in the dark Eldar series

@@walbergverissimo2815 The protagonist didn't just die. He touched Karandras corpse, reviving Karandras who then immediately slaughtered the dreadnought that killed him. The protagonists soul was absorbed into Karandras armour, becoming one of the many Exarch souls that make up Karandras being. Also the Farseer that rejected him lived. I still find it hilarious that merely being rejected made the protagonist so mad it trapped him on the path of warrior completely unable to move on with his life.

Didn't know much about Striking Scorpions, other than "they look cool, why aren't they in the video games?" so this was a nice video to see, and they did indeed turn out to be really cool lore wise too. Would love to see videos on more aspect warriors/phoenix lords.

This was fun! While I do appreciate that this video was a nice promote for the new model, and as those take time to design, I won't just expect more Eldar-themed videos like this, the Eldar fan I am appreciated it! Striking Scorpions are cool! They aren't my personal favorite; I enjoy the melta-punch that is tank-busting Fire Dragons, and Fuegan. I also really like Warp Spiders, and Forge World's Shadow Spectres, but since web-shredding porters don't have a Phoenix Lord, and gossamer prism cannons with legs are weird, off-brand Aspect Warriors, and not in their codex, I'll happily settle to get to hear about the Space Elves with the chain swords!

warp spiders are one of, if not the best aspect warriors, and fire dragons are close behind for me. Sadly we may not see an episode on warp spiders due to how, as you mentioned, they do not have a Phoenix Lord

"The Eldar usually don't go so hot when going toe to toe with space marines" I mean don't EVERY melee Unit of Eldar basically chop up marines really well? Banshee's, Striking Scorpions, Shining Spears,Harlequins and Dark Eldar Incubi all turn Marines into lunchmeat.

I rarely comment on KZfaq posts but had too for this. Karandras was my very first model and the one that got me collecting ( you always remember your first) way back in white dwarf 172. I can't believe we haven't had a new model for him for like nearly 30 years. Will defo be buying this major mini to add to my others. Great job mate amazing content as always. Will there be a squad? Lol maybe warpspider phoenix next? Lol

People always seem to forget that Eldar are about as tall as space marines and are also superhumanly strong (though less than marines). And that's in addition to being as fast as Custodes!

Just assembled this model that arrived 2 days ago! Excited to paint him up. I'd argue that more than 1% of other Eldar who want to engage in melee. There's the Howling Banshees, Storm Guardians, Warlocks, Farseers, Harlequins, much of the Dark Eldar... I'd say it's fairly 50/50.

I remember using my eldar back in 4th edition and telling my opponent my Striking Scorpions would be infiltrating and warning him that they're super nasty in combat. He laughed it off and when they got to attack I started counting out the dice they'd be using charging his space wolf unit (cant remember which one). He very quickly changed his attitude towards them.

It's odd that Majorkill says the Striking Scorpions are the only Eldar willing to go to melee with Marines. All real Eldar know you use Banshees for Marines. Their strength is lower, sure, but you need that power sword to cut through the armor. Scorpions have a high amount of high strength attacks, plus heavier armor, they are better at getting stuck in with things like Orks.

I'd agree with these green boys being the strongest aspect warriors the space elves have and always felt that they were underrepresented, which at least in the vidya games, they totally were in favour of those screaming chicks. These scorpions could make for cool new proxy minis, if only someone were to manufacture those.

The 2nd edition metal scorpion minis were almost entirely responsible for me choosing the eldar as my main army (with the Swooping Hawks playing a strong supporting role in said decision). Also, I see no resemblance between the Majorkill Scorpion Lord mini and any other miniature any other company may or may not at some unspecified time and place have produced for some unspecified game featuring armies of an unspecified grimdark setting fighting eachother. No similarity at all. It is obviously a wholly original and unique creation in and of itself.
