Konrad's story is actually heartwarming because he was the most beloved by the outcast primarchs. Fulgrim actually broke down (despite tortured endlessly) when he heard of his death from Sevatar and Mortarion was really feeling guilty that he left Konrad (who sacrificed himself to hold back Vulkan) so he could warn Terra. Heck only Konrad knows the existence of twin primarchs (as opposed to the usual) and they both look up to him because he kind of reprimanded them not to overkill.

Maybe Tzeentch "just as planned" is the way women plan Vs the way men plan (generalisation of course, but this is the easiest way to describe it): Making a full schedule where everything and every event is filled in years in advance, but where one disruption means the whole thing is out of wack; or instead only making loose guidelines so you are never fully certain of what will happen and not as efficient, but more adaptable when something goes wrong. What if Tzeentch pretends he is the former while he is actually the latter?

That fight also ended in the most badass way. Abbadon tore out Sanguinius’ hearts with the Talon of Horus.

He wiped Angron out while telling him that hey remade his strength.

if I remember correctly in cannon that's what the emperor wanted magnus for in the (pre-heresy) future and why (after he did some wrong shit) he wanted him arrested and brought to terra to allow him the freedom to go delete Horus

I think there is a trade of here to make thing more balanced. In canon traitors had the better headstart because of Horus being warmaster. But in roboutian heresy, it begun with less of a momentum but you know they had guilliman

Favorite thing to work on? Honestly it was figuring out the ways the primarchs would be different Least favorite, would definitely have to be compiling notes for making sure the canon stays stuck.

They're also as a general rule more united than the cannon legions.

I don’t think it would make much sense since while their flaw caused them to become berserkers, it wasn’t their goal to be berserkers. They decidedly didn’t want to be mindless warriors. I would say it’s not impossible, but I do think that Slaneesh or Tzeencht would be better choices for them.

In the Dornian heresy Guilliman doesn't really fall to chaos. He just joins the traitors for the Itsvan masacre under the condition that they leave him alone to manage his own empire.

It’d have to deal with the death or loss of the Emperor, him not being there is what makes them fall apart. It likely deal with Horus, Guilliman and the Lion while those three argue most would leave and do something else and or maybe something to do with Sanginius, he’d be the closest thing to holding everyone together. Like Guillimans empire grows vast along with a imperium led by Sanginius but they both over time don’t see eye to eye and overtime lose faith and respect with each other, this would have to happen early maybe the order was different in which they where found, the Emperor disappeared or dies some how and the first two sons try and find their brothers creating separate armies and truths along the way.

Regarding Magnus and Golden Throne; It seems Emperor had second thoughts about making Magnus into battery, especially after Magnus propose the God-Calling plan. Regarding Perturabo's traps, the problem is not that the traps not working, it was Loyalist Legion unwilling to let collateral damage to be monstrous, spreading their forces relatively thin. Not helped that at least 3 Loyalist legion cannot arrived to Terra on time, limiting their option. Vulkan's immortality: He's injured by single spear, not being grinded or atomized. Aside from cursed wounds, he can heal himself quickly just fine.

The emperor in this case needed to be on the golden throne to keep him alive rather than strictly to power the golden throne, because drachnyen somehow managed to inflict a wound he wouldn't be able to revive from.

Notably The chaos forces in the palace were picked off one by one, It was only the ultramarine contingent that was able to fight their way to the emperor. Dorn was forced to retreat by Perturabo and Magnus personally banished the Lion who had already ascended to daemonhood.

Though without Lorgars religious preaching I'd say the Empire would have still turned out better than the 40k one. Still not sure what happened to Malcador. He was supposed to be a powerful enough Psyker that he could essentially force choke (non-demon) Horus to the brink of death and as a perpetual, he should still be around if he didn't burn his soul out on the Golden Throne to lead the Empire.

Lorgar also steps up hardcore post heresy as one of the loyalists holding the team together, so even more valuable psykers.

Tzeentch could have Azrael, but he could also have Belial, Asmodi, or others. I really don’t think they have one serous mortal champion, instead relying on their Deamon Primarchs.
