I remember I used to be so afraid to go out by myself at night. Every noise was a ghostie or something similar. One night my brother came out with me and helped me identify all the noises we heard. Every single noise was some cute or goofy little creature and not a single scary in the bunch. Now when I go outside by myself at night I can identify every single noise instantly -- from a cat sneaking around the tree limbs, to a red fox screaming its call in the woods, to a lizard jumping metal railing of the porch, to the scritching sound of a beetle lumbering up a stucco wall. Now it's no longer noise, but music.

This summer has been amazing for moths I leave my kitchen light on on and it's like a moth party in there. I love the humble moth all it wants to do is smash its head of my lights🤣🤣
