Jenny Doan demonstrates how to make a beautiful new quilt using a bit of white yardage and 2.5-inch strips of precut fabric (jelly rolls). Boy, was she surprised to discover a beautiful secondary block that appeared when she pieced together all her recreated blocks! This quilt is quick and easy with half square triangles cut from strip sets that are then made into pinwheels and other simple units.

Thank you for always keeping things real. Mistakes happen, patterns can be confusing and I think the fear of either of those keep us from trying new things. Also, give that camera guy a bonus! I love that they are actually following along with what you do ❤

I LOVE this quilt! I'm thinking I may do this with a dark charcoal background and bright solids giving it an Amish look. However, this quilt would look great in many different themed fabrics. Or, how about a variety of red and green solids/or near solids on a white background for Christmas! Wow, many options here; it will look fabulous in just about any fabric selection! Thanks, Jenny & MSQC; you guys ROCK!!! ❤

I love that this is such a stunning quilt, potentially made with only scraps. We all have leftover strips from jelly rolls, not enough for so many of the patterns out there, or they don't look that nice. But this one, with just 18 strips, is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I'm finally working at this beautiful quilt pattern. I've finished 5 blocks so far and noticed that I don't have all of the center pinwheels going exactly the same way but I guess that doesn't matter. I will have to be more consistant on the next blocks. This is going to be MY quilt (I have made so many to give as gifts but am keeping this one for sure). Thank you Jenny for your delightful and amazing quilt tutorials. Can't tell you how much I've learned from them!!

Jenny this is why you were the one that got me started quilting again. You are so sweet and so real. You are sweet and real enough to share your mistakes. I love this quilt. For some reason it made me think of the flowers “Queen Anne’s lace”. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Beautiful quilt and so easy to alter size. Thank you sew much again for sharing your charming self and talent. I don’t know if you- Jenny will ever actually see this, I truly mean it when I say your videos are the initial thing that got me back to quilting after many years of not. I guess I got to busy when my kids were growing up and gave up the part of me that loved quilting. Now at 56 and spending the last 8 years being full time care giver to my very ill husband and also we adopted a baby that needed parents I have thankfully come back to quilting. Best therapy there is. I can tell you that between our son - this sweet amazing young boy is now 7 and getting back to my love of quilting - I feel like it’s given me so much joy and comfort. You have such grace and charm in front of the camera. A real natural. Makes so many of us feel as if your right here in our sewing rooms/area with us. Making it to MSQC is on my bucket list. Not sure if I will be able to make it happen as I also have health issues to deal with myself now but it’s staying on my bucket list!!! Thank you not only for how you saved your town and what you do for your community but also for all that you do for quilters everywhere ❤️😘😍

I "SEW" appreciate you doing these different design videos! I'm sure you hear/read this a lot, I'm a visual learner and to read a pattern is frustrating at times, because I have to read it 3-5 times before I can make sense out of it or create a visual image in my head. OK Jenny, I've watched your videos for years, I'm totally hooked. I need to make a Christmas themed block for a block exchange at our club Christmas party this year but it needs to be a block that finishes at 12 inches. I'm going to try to do this block using 1.5 inch HSTs (instead of 3 inch). This should give me a 10 inch block, then I'll just add a border to it to get the size I need. Wish me luck. Just so you know, that photo over there next to this comment is actually my sweet husband.
