Make Homemade Healthy Tooth Whitening Mouthwash

This is the recipe I use, with one special ingredient that gives that "bite" that conventional mouthwash gives. But, this mouthwash is healthy for the mouth with no chemicals and color additives. Make this homemade tooth whitening mouthwash.
Recipe:
2 cups filtered water
3 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide
25 drops peppermint essential oil (or spearmint or cinnamon)
5 drops lemon essential oil
1/4 cup vodka (optional)

I've done this exact same concoction for years .Then this past year my oral health changed out of nowhere!!!!! I started watching Dr.Ellie Phillips and started doing her oral care routine that she recommends. My mouth has completely changed! It's even better now. I really encourage people to watch and study what she is promoting. My dentist was amazed with what he saw. My teeth are shiny and natural white.

Oh yes! Sandy's mouthwash does work! I've learned what once worked may not later on. I believe that I was stripping my mouth of the good bacteria. Now it's back to normal....even better than before. As we get older our body's change so much. I love all of Sandy's content!

Awesome, will try this.. And just a little side note, some baking soda brands contain small amounts of aluminum.. Have recently switched to Bob's Red Mill organic, non gmo baking soda.. 😺

Hi Sandy I just found your channel and like it a lot. I see you like chemical free natural remedies, so I’m wondering if you have considered the toxic chemicals in hair dye. Have you discovered anything natural to cover greys? Thanks!

So... I have not. I have been told that Madison Reed is a "better" choice for hair color. My cousins use it and love the brand. But it is an all over color and I have highlights put into mine. So you are right that I choose natural remedies as the majority of my life, but I am not willing to go grey yet so having my hair colored is one thing I continue to do that I know has chemicals in it.

Hello! I actually just use Colgate or crest. I know they dont have the best ingredients, but I have tried natural toothpaste before and they made me gag.

I don't have one. I've made toothpaste with coconut oil and baking soda, but have never used a tooth powder. Hopefully someone else will chime in on your comment and let us both know a good tooth powder.

Im not really sure. I would think it is fine or just half the amount of hydrogen peroxide. 1/4 cup equals 4 Tablespoons. So use 2 Tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide instead in your mouthwash.

Hi Sandy, it's Joe. If i had beautiful teeth like yours i would do everything i could to keep them healthy. But alas, for me i had to make sacrifices to promote good health for my family, which for me was more important. So i am more for function than looks. If i can chew on a steak i am good to go ...................... 😎👍👍

a dentist on KZfaq said to not use hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash because it can cause you to get a hairy tongue.

Well, that's gross. Lol. I would assume that would be if it isn't diluted. This is a 3% solution that is diluted in water. 2 cups of water and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide.
