the last element with the barrel roll is called zero g stall and exists on some rmc coasters Edit: Look at onride fotage of goliath at six flags great america

Youre missing that the forces in the heatmap ignore gravity, a real zero g hill equals a minus one g hill in the heatmap.

Yeah, but it becomes complicated with banked and curved hills. Try to bank your zero g hill for 45° and it will negate most airtime in the results. They calculate airtime etc in a very easy way, and thats okay. Annoying is just that your coaster basically becomes worse in exitement the more time you invest optimizing it in a realistic way:/

The total track seems to matter realy much on how the excitement rating evolves on the track parts. Also my hybrid coaster has some strange things happening with the total excitement. I mean I can change little things out and even when I give a hill more airtime but somehow the total excitement doesn't change. sometimes even drops from 7.4 to 6.9

Either you are wrong or it has since been changed, but it clearly shows 1g on a flat piece of track, and by making a train follow the exact path that it would follow if you let it fly off the track you get a zero g hill.

these kinda breakdowns and tutorials make the game way better! by chance did you mess around at all with banking the airtime hills left to right too? ive noticed alotta rmc airtime hills now have way more ejector than floater by bank turning from left to right over the hill or vice-versa, been messin around with the idea a bit myself but never this in depth

Best airtime hills are the one that keep a nice average g on the first half of the hill and then a realy steep drop behind. That way you got a long time negative g. And a lot of excitement from the drop. Also 1 bigger drop with 1 smaller behind (double drop) gives awesome excitement it seems. I think fear helps with excitement to. But the physics are kinda accurate I think :) because the more feeling I have in my stomach in real life makes the best coaster imo :P

Please man, can you tell me, if a coaster crashes in test mode does it effect your park rating or your coaster popularity?

Interesting to see how the game calculates the statistics. But it's not realistic with the positive g's though. That should be much higer the way you build the drops.

Syphirioth I think I have been playing to much NoLimits. Where a slope like that would have been about 7 positive g's. But not in Planet Coaster. I would smooth the slope and make it longer but Planet Coaster calculates that as being more boring.

Mabe NoLimits just "overreacts" to make your coasters "more badass" ?! As far as I would say, Planet Coaster doesn't try to be a perfect Coaster Simulation. But for the calculations of G's it's pretty good for a Parkmanager I have to say.

Ipoop7colors I never played NL2 so I have no idea how that feels XD Ye It's all about the balance the slope has. But if I imagine a hill where you would gt the best feeling out of it in real time it must be a hill where the train constantly wanna fly off the track lets say. So constantly in the g-forces. And a steep slope at the end of the hill. And it kinda works like that in PC to.

Soooooo basically if I want to have a roller coaster that people will actually ride then I have to just give it a bunch of airtime? I just want to build a roller coaster with loops and inverts but every time I put any it just add's a bunch of fear and nausea and 0 excitement . . . the whole reason i bought the game was to build roller coaster's to my liking but there is no point if they don't make money in my park : (

I’ve recently built a launched coaster with 8 of my own custom inversions and it’s at over 8 excitement, 5 fear and 1.80 nausea (triple green stats). I kinda put some airtime hills between the loops and used some of the inversions as a way to turn left or right. I kept the speed nice and constant. :) It’s totally possible to build a triple green stat coaster with a lot of loops!

not uptodate anymore - it is no more waves, its more like hills now - so try do more hills then waves, because the funrate will keep 10+ if u have a small peak
