Always a great video!!! I’m in New York and always on the lookout for stones that I could make into a large whetstone! Any ideas you guys and best regards!
I could only wish to find rocks like that here in New Zealand, I've come close to making my own stones from a 500grit all the way up to 10k+. But the consistency of finding big pieces are hard to find and make into Sharpening stones. I will say.. the Japanese Sword polisher was a big influence of what I was basing it off and trying to find similar materials. Just thought I'd share :D. Hope you have a good day!.

You can. He’s using hard jaspers. You can find jaspers in NZ in the Otago region, it is a well known locality.
REALLY a NICE Video! - UNFORTUNATELY, I do not speak »Japanese«, therefore I did NOT understand the VALUABLE information. Hence, I do NOT know what stone, when to use …

Can you a video introducing all your planes and showcasing all the tools on the wall? 😊

It's difficult to introduce all the tools because there are so many.

@@make-miki yass haha, thank you for all the hard work, i’ve learned a lot watching you do your thing. Maybe just a quick video, briefly talking about all the tools? A series? Hehe
For the non Japabese speaker, this is hardly interesting to follow. Subtitles in English would ve highly desirable (if a larger following is being sought).

What was the brown stuff, stain gel or some glue?
@make-miki Жыл бұрын
It's a paint called cashew. Applying this to the side of the whetstone prevents the whetstone from cracking.

@@make-miki Thank you! That's what i thought that its some kind of a sealer. I picked up a cool stone at the bottom of Half Done in Yosemite last summer. I'll try your method with it
Most definitely, you need to add a SOLID English SUBTITLE. -Automated Subtitles are BAD. They don't add PUNCTUATIONS etc.. As such, NOT good to translate! Your NICE content could spread WORLDWIDE much BETTER, if you add a SOLID English Transcription MANUALLY. . Hence, MORE likes/subscriptions! - You STILL can add an English SOLID subtitle AFTERWARDS!
