Really enjoyed making these. I love simple things too. Will be mass making these for sure. Don't worry about other people and their complaints, you do you. Use whatever you'd like that helps you. People complain about the dumbest things.

It's really pretty. It's nice to see new techniques. I love the one with the purple flowers purple and lavender are my faviorite colors !!!! I made some of these. They turned pretty nice. I made mine from a Papa Murphy's flyer. I like them. Yours are wider.

Hey, what fabulous pocket! I ran back to my craft room & made my template for my ephemera book for reference later & made 2 for my bee journal. OMG! I love them! Putting them in the front & back of the journal. Beautiful! Thanks for such a simple but beautiful pocket! This pocket will be a regular in my journals!

Thanks for this tutorial. Just the thing I needed for the journal I'm working on! After I glued, I forgot to turn the bottom flap back up (watching TV too lol), but they work well without the bottom pocket also, fyi!

I've made this style pocket but without the folding--just cutting the three pieces of paper and gluing the two top ones onto the back one before gluing it on a piece of double-sided scrapbook paper (for a pretty back). That makes for less bulk (though the folded edges might look better). I made 20 of these using various color-coordinated scrapbook papers, used distress ink on them, stuffed them with several inspirational quotes, and took to a breast cancer support group meeting to hand out. They loved them. I'd post a picture if I could.

Hi Tina, this is a great idea and I can see it becoming a staple item in my stash- I love that it works in any patterned or coloured paper. I am always very mean with my paper-I regularly use the backs of decoupaged napkins for clean-up, or even to stamp my own design tissue, and I often re-dampen baby wipes to use a second time. (Not on a baby though!☺). Crafters are usually thrifty and the entire concept of junk journaling is surely to use up what one has, so don't let the ecology police nag you.

Oooo, meant to add, the extra fold for the bottom pocket works perfectly without adding bulk on my coffee dyed paper. But it was just 80gsm copier paper. Genius idea Tina 💜

What size paper are you using? I want to make sure that I am using the right size.Most of my paper is 12/12 inch.
