STEP 1: Firstly, download the GarageBand app from the App Store. Link is given above.

STEP 2: Now follow the video instructions and you should reach a point where you need to define ringtone length. Here, make sure you change number to 12 which will give you a ringtone of around 30 seconds.

I had absolutely ZERO expectation that this would actually work, but it totally did. Just record any sound using the iphone mic (e.g. playing on your computer speakers), then have garage band export it to a ring tone file. Totally works 100%. No gimmicks. Using completely FREE garage bang app that comes with your iphone. Excellent.

If you screen record and convert the video to MP3 or MP4 and then save it to the default “GarageBand” Folder in your phone, you can use any song or sound!

this was excellent. there was one hitch. when creating the ringtone, be sure to initialize it when you're in "Brows" section. I ended up starting over, since I missed that.

Yeah, some iphones are like that. Here's you can try - instead of exporting from files, try like here open garageband app > go to "my songs" > select your music > click the share button > it will show "set as ringtone" from there. Try it 🙃hopefully it works 👍🏻
