Excellent. Really nice job. Personally I prefer an open crown but I see why it doesn’t appeal to other people. I’m keeping the open crown on my grey Rodeo King cowgrrl hat. My other vintage one is in a Gus shape and I’m leaving that alone. People in this part of the country, the not very west Midwest don’t wear cowboy hats. Ever. Sometimes you see someone driving through wearing one but they are basically really only worn as a costume or when showing a western horse 🐎. I can’t wait to get out west and wear my hat and boots like everyone else. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵💙🚵‍♀️🐾

I build tube amps, if your amp breaks I have great vintage tubes, capacitors, etc. I am an engineer. When my son's Fender amp broke, I enjoyed fixing it. It is now a hobby of mine.

Dear Kevin, Hello! Quick unrelated question, thanks to your education I've decided to pick up a Bailey crushable litefelt hat as i was searching for a more affordable wool felt hat that i could beat up and let it be snowed and rained on without too much worry, but I'm curious, they use the bollman patented technique to create a shape retentive felt hat, but they don't detail how that's done. Any idea what kind of chemicals goes into the manufacture of litefelt hats? I'd rather not walk around with like... dupont teflon on my head or something lol. Thanks Kevin.

My hat goal before this year ends: to buy an akubra open crown (preferably, a fed IV) and do the bashing myself! 😁

I recommend the CampDraft or the Squatter. I have 3 CampDrafts, one teardrop, one Keane Crease, one Gus, Squatter I left open crown. Fantastic hats, my favourite brand.

Do you like shaping/wotking with Akubra? Is the stiffener absolutely needed? I have an open crown CD coming. Iam going to shape myself and am curious about it keeping its shape?

You frequently criticize post bankruptcy Borsalino hats. I have bought two 50 gram SQ fedoras directly from Borsalino and they are absolutely fantastic.

He has said they make some that are okay. I think the main thing is that they are not what they used to be.
