Today, I'm showing how to make a floating ornament with your Cricut. These floating ornaments are so easy to make and they are so pretty to look at. Thank you. I will order transparency paper tonight. Why do we need to reverse it before printing?

The side you print on is kind of textured, so it's just recommended to print in reverse so when you have the smooth side facing forward the design is the right way. Technically, I guess you could print normal and have the textured side facing forward. I'm not sure it would make a big difference either way.

Great tutorial. Just came across this by sheer accident. I have subscribed to your channel and website. I was about to make the the above floating ornament, when I noticed that there were two separate fonts for the C, it looks as if it has been added so it could be welded to the B is that the reason? It looks a little strange as I wanted to take the bottom C off but was able to? Please advise. Many thanks.

The C is just one font, so there is not a way to separate it.

I tried using the icicles and the static was awful so I found some stars that work.

That's so weird and I'm sorry it was static. I didn't have that issue at all. I'm so glad the stars worked. I'm sure they looked really cute.

When I extract the files and go to use them, I don't have an SVG option

The SVG file is probably showing up as a Chrome HTML Document or Microsoft Edge HTML Document.

When I try to cut on my cricut, it tells me that I need a white background under my transparency paper. Any idea why?

Did you upload the floating ornament template and flatten it with the image you are trying to print?

@@BurtonAvenue I did. Last year they worked perfectly fine. Could it be the mat I'm using? I used my template from last year, just changed photos and words

That's so weird. I searched online to see if I could find anyone else who had this issue, but I couldn't. Maybe try exiting Design Space and starting over. Sometimes DS has hiccups that cause strange things to happen.

The file wasn't a nativity scene it was most wonderful time of the year ?

Make sure you’re grabbing the files from day 10 under craftmas 2020. There are a lot of years of craftmas, so it can get a little confusing. There are actually 2 files for this project and you’ll need both to make it. Please let me know if you need more help. burtonavenue.com/resource-library/#christmas%202020.
