In this video, the asset downloader feature of the MakeHuman Community software is demonstrated and explained.
The asset downloader is already included in the latest alpha's of MakeHuman. However, if you want to install it manually or look for a newer version, you can find it at github.com/makehumancommunity...

Bro i watched like 3 videos they have been talking about how to add assets to makehuman the videos got something about 12 minutes ... they didnt help me.. But you just teached me how to put assets to makehuman in like 3-5 minutes THANK YOU

I hope this asset downloader tool continues to get updated. Some assets are giving me issues when I attempt to use them on Blender 2.80 or higher in conjunction and mainly with the MHX2 export to Blender. Also at times I cannot get some items to work even within the MakeHuman Community software itself. Other than that I figured out work arounds and can still manage at bare minimum to get some character models onto Blender 2.80 as well as the experimental Blender 2.81 versions (Sometimes I gotta import them nude to see what assets are causing the issues via the MHX2 export method). Overall dope efforts made to help make the 3D model human character generation pipeline super simple. Toughest part is installing the software, addons and plugins for older versions onto Blender or within MakeHuman's various software versions. 😊 Thanks a billion MakeHuman team. You guys and gals kick some digital tail out here. Love your work. 👍 Oh and I love that new Shader update for enhancing skin tones for our models. Awesome update.

There is no particular relation between the asset downloader tool as such and the blender version. The asset downloader simply provides a convenient way to download files, it doesn't change those files in any way that is relevant for blender compatibility. In the cases when assets misbehave, it is more likely that the problem is with the asset as such. This is something that should be reported to the author of that asset. MHX is another issue though. Overall, MHX has fallen behind in development, and lately we've been unable to get pull requests merged upstreams. So at the moment the MHX pipeline provides a less than optimal user experience. Without having any hard numbers to support this, I believe many users have abandoned MHX now in favor of the new style "on line" importer in MPFB.

do i download the asset downloader from the link and then synchronize? i downloaded the newer version of MH and i have the community tab, and i synced it; but i can't get the assets list that is on the video. how do i solve this?

i have a problem it seems no one can help i installed mpfb plugin on my mac but it my asset library doesn't appear anywhere and every time i try to download it from the official site it keeps sending me to the same pages where there is no download available Please help me

I dont mean to be rude but seeing that it only get 93$ / 500$ per month on Patreon , thre may be a problem. I would like to support it on Patreon but the models are not good enough to be used in CG professionally. I can only fund Makehuman from the money i make by using it. And many people are like me. The character design didn't make any significant progress over many years. You just don't want to look at it more thank 5 seconds... You may need to reconsider your priorities. There are users because they have no choice with Blender but if peoples that have already used solutions like CC3 etc see it they run away. 10 $ per month is 120$ per year, for example Character Creator 3 cost 199$ , the 79 dollars difference vs the quality difference is a no brainer. I hope my comment can help you to get a better marketproof product even if it's free. Blender is free but it has got it's reputation by constntly trying to give hi quality values to the users, the community ALWAYS pay back.
