Great tutorial! Is there a way to split up the applying the geometry nodes (25:20) to reduce CPU load? It is causing Blender to crash on me.

Great Tutorial, I am having an issues I am trying to make using 7 letters and in between them some letter are not showing base properly after applying mesh Boolean

on your presition gears addon, after i install it and when i press the checkbox to activate the addon i get a error and it does not allow me to activate it, how do i fix this?

Jeebus, why so complicated?! Is it blender or the guy? I mean this whole thing takes like maybe 10 minutes in the very same fusion360 by using just offset and press pull tools. The only downside maybe that you have to trace the text first though with the line tool. Or just use an .svg of a phrase. But dang thats so much easier no matter how you put it. =D

First things first, Blender is a free, open-source program. Fusion360 is an AutoCad program and costs over $600 per year. That should be enough to answer your question, but if youre still unsure: Blender is a multi function 3d suite with an overall ability to function for many different purposes from animation to video games and endless modifiers and add-ons to setup practically anything you want, however you want. Wheras Fusion360 is a CAD program with one main function that you couldn't change or alter if you wanted to.. ofc it's going to do that single function better. But if ur using it JUST for printing letters, or any hobby 3D printing, you gonna pay $600+ p/a ? No, I didn't think so

@@Postghost First things first, Fusion360 is free if you register as a hobbyist. That should be enough to address your comment, but if youre still unsure: Blender is a multi function 3d suite with an overall ability to function for many different purposes from animation to video games and endless modifiers and add-ons to setup practically anything you want, however you want. However a multitool is not always a great tool if you need one thing to be done right. I'm not gonna use a swiss knife to cut bread at home, I'll just use a simple kitchen knife that'll do its job fasrter and better. You said it yet: Fusion360 is a CAD program with not only one main function that you couldn't change or alter if you wanted to. I think you need to try Fusion360, because it also has sculpting function like Blender. =D Good luck!

Totally agree, I use fusion all the time. Yep it's free and way easy to use, with a huge community of people to help. Also the guy didn't mention about what pla etc he used, so all in all it just feels like a video for people to buy his patron. This guy doesn't even reply, despite saying just reply here. Many other people offer free pro active full tutorials for led casings and 3d prints DIY. Just my opinion inion 😮

Hi, I hope you can help me. In the step at 30:15 I have the problem that in the first part of the shield everything works perfectly but as soon as I select the "blocks" in the second half and the second part of the shield and then Ctrl Numb - press the second part is completely gone can someone tell me what the reason is?

Is there a setting in GeoNodes which will reverse the extrude on the fill walls? (So that the lit lettering pops out, instead of sunken in? TIA

I'm trying to split each letter up seperately (and I have 6) so I have 6 word building nodes and 6 splitting and mesh boolean nodes. However after I do the mesh boolean and the loose parts step it leaves the bottom layer of some letters connected? Any idea what I'm doing wrong? It appears like the first letter is fine, but then the buttom layer of the 2nd word seperates, and instead the it takes the bottom layer of the letter next to it and so forth down the line

If anything looks off, check for vertices which need to be deleted/dissolved. Every time I encounter any issue like that, the culprit is almost always vertices that I missed.

Too much speaking :) too less explaining. Mate...experienced users don't look up for your video....don't start by saying its hard and then go like Sonic through the explanation. That's not a how to, rather a flex. Also you might want to crack up the zoom on the presented app ... ah my bad..i forgot this video was for pros..they know.
