Making A Damascus Knife And A Sheath

In this video I make a damascus knife and a sheath for it.
The damascus steel is forged from 1084 carbon steel and 15N20 steel and consists of 224 layers.
On handle I used oak, spalted birch, birch bark, moose antler and brass pommel. The sheath is made out of veg tan cow leather and the wooden part of the handle is birch burl with a little bit of spalt.

Хорошая работа, больстер из рога лося обрабатываю суперклеем разведённом в растворителе, поры меньше забиваются грязью. На видео в кадр попали интересные старые топоры, было бы интересно увидеть способ насадки их на топорище.

Why don't you make a pommel that you can screw down with a dye set? It seems that it would be a lot more secure with a lot less risk of the handle coming loose. I do love the wood you are using for the handles!

hi your work is beautiful I subscribe to your channel to follow your next creation. I have a question, do you use the SCHEPPACH Bts 700 machine? you modified something on it or it is original.

Thanks! Yes I use bts 700. Only modification I made was that I removed the bolt which locks the belt tensioner.
