Brad, Just a word of caution .. you use the power sanders without any sort of mask protection. Leather does not dissolve in the lungs. Remember coal miners and black lung 'disease' from coal dust in their work environment and you get the idea. Leather dust from what I've researched can be very fine and hard to detect. Get a good mask with filter cans on the side. You can open the cans from time to time and see how much gunk they saved you from. This would also apply if you are hand sanding. It's a pain, but you are young and have a lot of leather crafting potential ahead ... Short term hobbyists [including retirees like myself] don't have to worry too much ... but even then ... a covid mask is better than nothing.

Well done and quite informative. You'll find it much easier to glue the sheath together then drill out your stitching holes. A stitching horse will hold the leather while you stitch. Easy enough to make one.

Wow,love the way you made the sheath look well worn.for burnishing the edges i saw in an other vid the guy had an old drill press pully mounted on a bench grinder,asked him about it,he said it did a better job and saved alot of time burnishing,might want to try it out.
