Sometimes tools with large diameters can be quickly aligned when fastened to a lathe chuck.

Elegant! I like the safety gloves. I saw an apprentice in our shop partially lose two fingers wearing cotton knit gloves while running a milling machine after being advised against it.

Seemed like an over engineering of a simple tool, but I love it!!! lol... By the way, I don't use cloth to protect the flats of tool holders... hahahahaha.... When I first saw you did that in your first few videos, I was like "Wow... this guy really takes care of his equipments! I should be ashamed of myself!!!". Good job there as usual bro! Nice!!!

I agree with your opinion. In fact, you'll probably be able to make it easier and simpler. But it's not long since I started this hobby, so I'm trying to make something more wonderful and complicated. Will you understand? And Wong will reply? It's a joke !!! Good day!

Have you tried machining leaded steels or sometimes called machinable steels? It has up to 2 percent lead and lower carbon. Still very strong but easier to machine and nicer finish.

I used free cutting steel. I also used mild steel. They were easy to process and not too stiff. But where I live, 1045c iron is the most easily available and inexpensive. So use.

Mirager... I have noticed in your videos that you have a "5410" model as your lathe... On the website it shows the 5410 as a mill. Are you using a custom setup of a 5410 mill as a lathe? I am getting a sherline lathe and mill in a couple of weeks and plan to make every modification you have done. Excellent work and care for your tools!

BadangBadizzy My machine is equipped with almost all the accessories. Therefore, it can be more convenient and stable than general sherline machines.

BadangBadizzy Generally, I set up much more tightly in all parts than the other sherline cnc users.

I emailed you directly about your setup.

BadangBadizzy I bought the shereline lathe much earlier than the milling machine. At one moment I checked the lathe head stock and found that the bearing was slightly out of order. So I replaced it with the headstock of the milling machine. Because I use a 3c headstock as you know on a milling machine.

I agree you have a great channel but only one constructive criticism is for you, since you don’t speak, make your videos with subtitles that won’t just flash on the screen or have the fonts so small that are impossible to read!!! Has to stop the video and rewind it constantly to understand what you were doing. Again, great channel!
