We LOVED seeing Mira use oil paint, and her tips for reducing or eliminating hydrocarbon solvents. There are some unfortunate misconceptions about oils that keep people from trying them, but they really are not difficult to use, and it's absolutely possible to use them without risky solvents. We went to Norway in June, and happened to be there during the warmest/dryest week ever. I would visit that country over and over again. It's so beautiful.

Thank you for the comment at the end, that it might take some years to get around to it. I've been feeling so stressed out lately, since I started doing art more seriously, because I have all these ideas, and I also do writing seriously, and I've been feeling down about how long it takes me to do a piece, because it'll take me so long before I get to all those other things I want to do. But today I tried reminding myself that I'm not even 27 years old yet, I'll have lots of time. Knowing that even professional artists like yourself struggle with finding time to do all the paintings you want to do, makes me feel a little bit better. Thank you :) Also, love the paintings. Especially the first one. It was also fun to see your footage from Oslo, because I believe you were standing outside the exact same building I passed by myself on a school trip some years back (I'm from Norway :D )

I like your thought process and it has literally changed how I look at art. Mira, I dare say, I love the moody! Working with color choices. It works! A thought crossed my mind… since you enjoyed the trip to the Scandinavia countries. Make a multiple collection and then put in another room and share these excursions on one wall. They are just lovely, and it is a personal trip with your husband. I love the difference between the 2 pieces you did (the 2nd artwork). I have done it before. Winter summer, autumn and spring. It was mountains with a tree in oil pastels and was very fun to do. Practicing muting colours is such a great idea. Yes!! Your artworks would look stunning in a gallery. I love the 1st and 2nd one. 19:08 looks beautiful with that low cloud cover, the water and little buildings. Would make a great artwork.

The penguins and goats are adorable!! 🐧 How quaint are the fishing villages? I had to chuckle at Dorvan talking about it being an 8 hour hike!! 😅 Such beautiful landscapes! ❤ I think I liked the one with lots of little flowers on it! 🪻 I understand trying the different tones for your paintings, but I love bright, cheery colors. My mood can be affected by dreary tones vs. bright cheerful tones. If it just made me feel calm and serene, I would love it. But it tends to make me feel sad and depressed. I'm not a big fan of winter for that reason... It is better with bright sparkly Christmas snow and sunshine! ❄️🌞
