This is a great way to think about extended phrasing without having to write out long strings of notes. Very cool! Thanks for the video.

Been using this device for hours a day all week and using lots of step components, especially the trig. Didn't know that repeatedly pressing the same button alters when the trigger is fired. THANK YOU!

This a great way to approach creating longer sounding phrases, Starting with the drums, very smart. Could you do another step components tutorial using melodic instruments? Love your style and approach. Thanks

Nice thanks, subbed. Love the groove at the end also ;) will have to watch again to figure out more about how you did the bass line over 4 bars.... still find myself wishing it would flip the 16 step readout over to another set of steps like the emx but the intermittent spark steps are a whole new way of doing things for me.

Nicely explained. Would love to see a walkthrough of each step component, punch-in effect, and other features the official guide doesn't fully explain.

It's a good workaround, but it still bums me out that they just didn't add a way to "zoom" in considering that if you live record you can still have sixteenth notes.

Very well presented and I think you’ve gotten to the point of the core workflow philosophy on the op-z... using the Step Components to generate procedural interest. I’m still having trouble with the Pulse and Jump Components, they just wreak havoc on my 4x4 beats haha. Liked and Subscribed!

Great video. Do you know of a decent way to make longer bass lines/chords changes in a similar or parallel fashion to this?

I wish TE would just put in a firmware update to expand the step lengths. All other drum machines and groove boxes do so.

This is a great workaround for long 16th note...bars. Thank you. However, is it really a Long bar (measure) OR now 4 measures? Just wondering what will happen down the road if adding (samples) , melody line or exporting to a DAW. Thanks again!
@willibooy3 жыл бұрын
great video! how would this work with chords? say you want a 4 chord progression in just 16 steps, but to sound like 64 steps (4 bars)?

Does this trig spark work while the seq is in motion, or does it need to be in stop position?
