4.3 oz Coconut oil
4.5 oz Palm oil
1.6 oz Castor oil
5.6 oz Olive oil
2.3 oz Sodium Hydroxide (this is a 4% super fat)
4 oz Distilled Water

27% Coconut oil
28% Palm oil
10% Castor oil
35% Olive oil

I too have not smelled the real Love Spell fragrance, but I have the Crafter's Choice brand from Wholesale Supplies....and the people I made products for - that use VS Love Spell, have all loved it. I have started just using the milk powders too - I feel a little less worried about adverse reactions with real milk - and, I have started using the heat transfers method with my lye - what a game changer. I will still use the cooling method too, but during the week, I have to use the heat transfer method as this is my second job during the week :-) Love this soap and the embeds turned out amazing - as always !!!

Hey Ellen. I'm a fan for years now, but never comment much. But I wanted to say beautiful soap, I love it. You should make some lotion and body scrub in the same scent and you can sell as a set for valentine or even birthdays this month. My birthday is this month too, so it will make a great gift too😊 I made lotion and body scrubs in that scent and people were always asking for more. My coworkers would always say how wonderful I smell and my skin always glowing. The beauty of making our own products. Have a blessed day. Oh, how beautifully they turned out! 👏 What's coolest, though, is I am holding one of those bars right now! I recognized the exact swirl pattern when you held it up to the camera. The bar is to be a gift so is still wrapped, but with a very small hole so I can smell that lovely fragrance. Like you, I've never tried the original Love Spell, but the dupe certainly works well in soap. The purple layer on my bar has a more magenta cast to my eye. Do you suppose this is just the difference in how the camera records and my screen displays, or do you think the mica might have morphed a little? Doesn't matter, as the contrast is still there and the soap is gorgeous; it's just curiosity on my part - I know purples can be tricky and I haven't tried that brand. But thank you for the video - showing the actual bar I received is a first for me! 💖

Ellen, I've seen some CP soaps crack. Do you know why? Do they have too little water or did they heat up too much? Or did they use too much of a certain oil?

Most of the time when a CP soap cracks it's due to overheating during the gel phase, it can even get as extreme as a volcano effect. Some ingredients can increase the chance and some fragrances can cause it too.

I split the oils and lye water into 3rds and mix each layer one at a time.

What can Palm oil be replaced with?
