I made both to show how to make them. I decided to make myself and not put the live show so noone gets offended and everyone can watch. you can find all recipes at my website and as you will see you will adjust depending on your climate and products. Any questions just ask!

I feel that some of the commenters have been quite rude, they should try it. I think you are doing a great job. I have only just started with the artsy stuff and fine you very informative. Our daughter past away in February and I inherited her art and craft supplies, so I am learning how to use everything from KZfaq. Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions.

Made both early this morning. Tonight just used the fiber paste, (had a chance to get creamier) laid it on thick to paper. Moved knife around and gave it depth.. what I wanted, is drying now. The molding past.. I love it!! Goes on so smooth and dries fast. Will share the art I make with these two in the group in few days as am not sure what I'm doing with them yet, lol. Thank you for these recipes Kelly... yey!!! :)

It's a bit like paper mache but sturdier. Love this. Did a similar thing the other day with a friend. She made it from eggcartons, wood glue and maïzena. Very fun to work with. I love it you always use things that most people have laying around.

Got a package in mail and a ceramic piece had arrived broken, put it back together and sadly there were still some chips and crack lines. I mixed up a batch of your modeling paste and it worked very well filling them in. Adding just a bit of paint all looks great. Thank you for posting.

TFS! I think that's a great idea. Using toilet tissue in molding paste. For your texture paste try using a different container to mix. I use glass jars with a lid that way I can shake it with the lid tightly closed. The paste in the can looks like it's drying quite fast. Thanks again for sharing

Fiber paste is about as opaque as it gets. To add shine, you can sprinkle on glitter or mica powder while the paste is still wet. You can move it around with a damp pallet knife (or plastic knife or whatever you use for such things)

What is that stencil and where did you find it,please? Turn bottles upside down to store, make a rack with styrofoam or foam insulation to stick them in. You could have added some water to paint bottle or in the cup and rinsed a little glue out. Or you could scrape glue out with your finger and onto stick or edge of container. So 1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons is 1/2 of a quarter cup.

Cool ! Thanks Kelly! I just tried to make texture paste and it didn't work. I used the recipe from the doc "homemade goodies" that I found in the All things creative files... the paste was very thin ... made with baking soda. Is texture paste different from modeling paste? Fibre paste! Ahhhh, finally a use for the TP the cats shred off the roll!
@knittingandthings

starwolf539 i know many people have diff recipes- i have never made with baking soda and texture paste is different as it is thicker so u can stamp or make texture in it and it stays that way when dry

Ever thought of maybe speeding up the parts where you are stirring, mixing, looking for stencils etc so that the video isn't overall so long? People tend to lose interest if a vid goes past 20-30 minutes. For me it was worth the wait, can't wait to try this out. Fiber paste and modeling paste cost a lot in stores so if this is a good alternative it will totally save my crafting budget.

Everyone has their little quirks and peeves. There are a number of very good artists online that have these overly sweet whispery voices that drive me bats (but then I'm the type who wanted to tell the late, great Bob Ross where he could put his "happy little trees") so I just don't listen to them much. Kelly (her many fans will agree) has a je ne sais quoi that draws us to her. Once, when a poster asked Kelly to do a certain tutorial and it didn't seem that it was coming soon (Kelly had a full list) I suggested another KZfaqr who had a similar tutorial. The reply I got was "No thanks, I like Kel - I'll wait" I got it, 100%
