Join along as we get the calves cleaned up and manure spread out on the hay ground that will be plowed over and the last corn planted. With some tough conditions we push though and get it all plowed up. Thanks for watching along.

Chris why don't you make a long box section attachment with a blade on it that'll hook up on your front loader to clean out where you feed the calves grain? Great content ❤

What likely happened with the hose at 12:55 is you have been starting the pump with a) hitting the lever with the nozzle, and b) starting the pump before you even have it turned on. Combination of just plain weather, if there is fuel left in the hose by not draining it every time, and the pressure from the pump likely caused the damage to the fuel hose.
@Otherrandomguy426 күн бұрын
It was the end on the pump.that leaked so how would using the nozzle to flip on the switch matter. That said it's better to have the nozzle open when you start the pump and leave it open shutting the pump off prevents building up pressure those hoses are a low psi hose.
@ganondorfal6 күн бұрын
The end on the pump is on the back of the pump... but yeah it could have just been a cheap hose too

Chris, i have what might be a stupid question, you have your lifting tractor with the spikes or the forks, why didn't you put your fresh hay into the hay loft, to give you more room in the smaller covered shed, like I said, maybe a stupid question, but if I don't ask I don't know, keep up the great content. 🇬🇧

That might work for a few bales but how does he move them around up in the loft? Cant pick them up and stack them up there.

@Otherrandomguy427 күн бұрын
And neither one are going make you much money on such a small scale. He has to value add by feeding crops to livestock then selling a portion of the best quality meats direct to consumer send the rest to wholesalers or he's going to be off farm trucking the rest of his life to pay for his farm. So why not just go custom work all in and forget farming he'd have way more money in 25 years. He's in a marginal cash crop region heavier land with lower yields so you have to get max dollars out your yields you do get.

I know what you mean about hard ground! My Bro-in-law rented about 25 acres and I went to plow it and there was about 6" of sod and the rest was like stone quarry shale! Couldn't even get the plows in the ground and 1 swipe across and the points was turning up this slag, I told him he better get his money back because it's nothing but a stone quarry! Ya, an old Massey Harris!!

Stay bitter old fella he plowed all spring and it worked fine, the ground got hard. That always happens on heavy soils by mid to late June. But at the same time plowing it to put corn in it is a total mistake he could have hired somebody in the notill it would have been planted the day after the grass got baled and conserved the moisture that's there , because the ground is so dry there now if he doesn't get rain that corn won't even make a cob. Lol. Meantime he's going to waste 3 days plowing and tilling and planting 10 acres and it's three days he could have been trucking manure and making money would have paid the no-till corn planting bill in the first 3 hours he trucked 💩. 🤨🤨
