My Volvo 960 cooling system needed some overhauling. Changed the expansion tank and the engine temperature sensor.

Hi, I like your choice of wheels. The look fits the 960 nicely. Did you have to make any adjustment or use spacers to make the wheels fit?

They are Volvo Mimas wheels and they will fit straight on. I use 20 mm spacers up front because otherwise it will not fit the 4 pot Brembo calipers that I use.

What was the wiring under the expansion tank for? Temperature sensor? Coolant level sensor?

It's the coolant level sensor

If it possible that my engine can not start? When the sensor of temperatury doesn't work.

Yes, it might not start if the sensor is bad or it would be really hard to get it started.

Hey man, nice video but I have a question. My dashboard shows the coolant level warning symbol, i did new thermostat change some months ago since the car wouldnt warm up at all but now its fine, so that would mean the engine temperature sensor is working since the thermostat is opening/closing right? And only the coolant level sensor under the reservoir is faulty.

Is the coolant level ok? If it is then the sensor might not be correctly positioned, the wires or the plug might be bad or the sensor it self. But usually it's the plug.

@@SATSMotors yes the level is okay, from today's inspection the wires arent that oxidized yet but feeling it will be the sensor that goes into the reservoir from below, or the other chip that connects to the wiring
