I know, I know... I just can't stop redecorating my house!! It's probably the DIY-er in me but you can't blame me, I found the best upgrade for an old door in my house on Facebook Marketplace for such an amazing price and could NOT resist! It totally made over my dining room adding an industrial feel (a Pinterest DREAM)! Plus, the clear glass forces me to keep my closet nice and tidy which I love :) I think that the whole room came together so nicely!
Next I tackled my living room where I decided to switch up my old couch. It got a lot of love, but with Danny around, he gets the white super dirty all the time. I decided to replaced it with the SOFTEST Article leather couch that was seriously game changing and switched up the vibe of the whole room! I absolutely love it! Check the link below to shop the sectional online! I had so much fun upgrading these rooms! I hope you love them as much as me!

Love the sliding door. When you said you were painting it black, I didn’t think it would look good but it works beautifully in the dining room. I am especially happy with your new door because we’re putting in a sliding door in a limited space area. I keep seeing on KZfaq that these doors are passé. I’m not into trends and avoid them and really don’t want my home to look like I bought into last year’s trends. But your creation reminded me that what’s important is doing what’s best for the space. Your new sofa is gorgeous and makes your living room a place of welcome and comfort. And that 70s light! Wow! (And you don’t need to apologize for the sofa. Wonder how many people who complain are big spenders on leather shoes).

Honestly, I struggled re: leather vs. fabric. I'm a vegetarian and really hated the idea of using animal products. However, I have cats and a dog who shed, puke up hairballs, scratch any kind of textured fabric, etc. and once I decided to take the plunge and get leather, I will NEVER go back. The leather is holding up beautifully and it's so easy to vacuum and wipe down! Plus, my cats don't attack it with their claws like they've done with fabric pieces in the past. WIN. Your new couch is gorgeous and fits so well with your space. It's definitely a personal choice, but I think you'll love it! Also, those lights are freaking awesome! I, too, LOVE the vintage vibe! 50s-70s (especially 70s) pieces are so awesome. I recently bought a vintage dresser and I still need to DIY it - remove the paint, sand the drawers a little so they slide smoothly, etc. So exciting! You inspire me!

Nice new sofa. Couple of ideas to consider: 1) you have now space for a cool 70’s mural in your dining room, where the door slides. 2) new brass light: I would put it upside down so you see more the brass side and it lights the ceiling giving you indirect light.

Love this!! If you install a sliding door in the future, instead of removing the trim, you can just cut out wooden disks to anchor to the wall, paint them black, then screw the hardware onto that. It should bring the hardware out far enough to let it slide in front of the trim without a problem. Amazing job as always though! Your skills and creativity are insane 😍

Everything turned out beautifully! With every touch you make tour house so much cozier. Love it. I would only be worried about people seeing through the door into the closet. But of you find a solution for cute organization inside that might be enough. Or you can spray the glass with a mirror finish. Also, I am a bit worried about that green paint. How Old is the door? Old paint has lead in it. I would test it to be sure. Be careful, lead poisoning is no fun. Please test it.

Wow Becky! I really love that new sofa, it fits the room so much better than the last one, and that round hanging light is truly beautiful, I grew up in the 70"s so that kind of vibe is what my whole house has already, and painting my walls white with that old paneling gives the room a beachy coastal vibe which I am loving. I also really love that beautiful picture light above your piano and record covers, love the vibe it gives. I really love that sliding door it works so much better than the other one and the color of this one just fits that area perfectly. I have to agree that doing DIY projects is so much fun as I have also been doing a lot of those. Thanks so much for sharing, this was a very fun and inspiring video. Sending love and hugs and I look forward to the next video, bye for now.

Loved how the sliding door turned out. I think updating the shelves inside would be a great touch, too, so that they look more coherent with the style of the door.

I think the new door looks great. My only concern is now you have to make sure that closet is always neat and tidy since you can see right into it.

Agreed with you about the leather couch. I have a professor who has the same leather satchel since high-school. She's 60 now and still using it. Whereas the polyester ones are made of petrol products and don't usually last more than 3 or 4 years. Sometimes the most environmentally friendly choice is not the most obvious.

Are you going to frost the glass in the door so you can't see inside the closet? Seems like that would be a good idea. Love the door, it turned out great!

Maybe the next project can be to upgrade the shelves to wooden “floating shelves” by using a hack where you disguise the white wire shelves with a wooden cover over it so it looks like it’s floating but it’s not!

I wish she'd pass along the cord cover idea to Alexandra Gater (another Toronto DIY), she never does it and it bugs so many people.
