Fresh Peach Pie recipe
9" baked pie shell, have ready
in a saucepan, combine:
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch or clearjel
2 tablespoons light corn syrup (if using corn starch)
1 cup water
Cook until thick & clear, stirring constantly. remove from heat.
Add 3 Tablespoons Peach gelatin. stir until dissolved. cool until just before it begins to congeal.
stir in 3 cups fresh peaches and pour into baked pie shell. chill until set. top with whipped cream if desired.
Baked Peach Pie
9" unbaked pie shell, have ready
3 cups sliced peaches, spread in crust
combine:
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
pour over peaches in crust. top with crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 mins until lightly browned. Crumb recipe below
Crumb Topping recipe
3 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup margarine
mix together until crumbly
yields enough for 4-5 pies. i store my extra in the freezer!
