I am going to do my first by-myself wood project and I want it to be this! I may do it a little bit simpler and I also have a headboard that will make a nice headboard, so I don’t have to worry about that. I would use an extra blanket for the mattress and just fold it up. Luckily I bought a small cat blanket that will fit perfectly!

Push stick on the Mitre saw is a good idea. You have no idea how many times I looked at my fingers wondering how they were still there after an "incident" (wood flying off and hitting my fingers on the way through) when I got a little rushed one day on that thing. Rushing is a really, really bad idea.

Lovely bit of work and upcycling, good project for my own stash of pine bed slats! Any suggestions on how to get use out of your offcuts besides 'chuck em in a wood stove's?

I am a bit of a hoarder so tend to keep even quite short pieces - they usually come in handy. When I get too many I make something to use them up - maybe coasters, candle holders etc...

These pet beds are so adorable! I would love to see you make pet bunk beds for people that have more than one pet. The double bed with a double bed on top would fit 4 cats pretty comfy :) Love watching your creations, keep it up!

Lovely pet beds. Have you considered adding a small pillow at the head of the beds? My dogs and even my cat enjoy a soft pillow as much as a soft bed to lounge around in. Love your videos!

Aren't we lucky that people throw them out all the time? I come across a lot of them. Unfortunately, most are too heavily bended. Recently I got to chop up one of those large IKEA drawers that slide under a bed. Same sort of wood but perfectly straight and wider.

Aliana Manzana I don’t have all the rolls or the expertise to do that, but I picked up an old baby changing table someone had put out for the trash pickup and redid it. That stuff is make horribly and was falling apart, but after cutting down the size, when I put it back together, I just stabilized the weak joints. Not as easy as it sounded, but worth it.

Maybe try putting a worn shirt in the bed for a couple of days - they like to sleep where they can smell your scent

That's what would worry me about making pet beds. Beds that we have bought end up unused as the cats choose to sleep on the sofa or dining room chairs. I guess they would look cool in the house though

Always seem to have a problem getting good reclaimed material here seems like someone always gets there first, might be because I live in Norwich and one of my favourite content creators gets there first lol. love your work great channel keep it up

I didn’t use a program for the cut list I just worked it out based on dimensions from SketchUp

Too much effort for a cat bed made to sell at a profit. You could do it much quicker than you have and still do a decent design.
