What a satisfying feeling it must be to gather all the materials and process the clay then throw pieces before firing them in a fire pit. Loved the designs they had a very ancient Roman or Greek style.

Maybe you could start selling some of your creations to your subscribers, I loved the cup you made for yourself.

There is a lady that lives about 60 mi from you who built a great room in her house out of Adobe mud. It's huge and stunning with little walls that come out in tears for potted plants to sit on and alcoves with lights for display. As a fellow van lifer I admire the passion you have for allowing yourself the opportunity to always learn and embrace new crafts. I have always loved glass blowing, gardening and pottery making but have struggled a bit with the process and cost of it all just being able to afford what I need to keep learning and practicing. I would love to know how you have learned and managed to keep the cost down as well as not stunt your growth in learning the craft and also building new things without spending a lot . Too cool. I process my own clay from my surrounding area in north Louisiana. I started my wild clay journey in 2019 and have loved every minute of it. Every step of the way has been a learning experience and has brought me great joy in my life. Loved ur video from start to finish.

Love that you gave it a go! The colours in bruning usually come from the ammount of oxygen thats in the pit. Depending on how much oxygen you have in various areas of the pit the colour varies from redish beige to grey and black. So this indicates usually an uneven ammount of oxygen throughout the pit which gives it its beautiful colour variations! The colour usually has not much to do with the burning material (including banana peels) but with the amount of oxygen in your burn. You can check that on archaeological papers that are about the ancient ways of burning ceramics or the way indigenous people still burn their pottery on open or closed fire pits. @AncientPottery does great content on that on youtube and also show various ways of firing!

It can also represent honoring the breaking, exalting conformity, or the layered process of putting something back together. The practice encourages people to fix rather than discard broken objects, placing a higher value on them. You really are an artist. I loved this video & yet it made me emotional. (32:17 ) you may simply glue the piece on either with Gorilla transparent or ol' potters trick of " Magic Mud " repair and cone 018 bisque fire it for keep sake. For best results pulverize some of the same fired clay to make your magic mud for repair. Great work. Your excitement for traditional pottery and pit firing is inspiring.

So totally awesome! I think it would be totally cool to do some flat pieces with pressed flowers in them from the areas that you travel to. You could put a ribbon on them and hang them as a reminder of where you’ve been when you find a place you really lived. I love the birds singing in the morning. ❤ My first alarm is crickets at 4:30 am, then singing birds at 5:00am. To wake each morning with the real thing would be absolutely amazing! 🦗🪺🐦‍⬛❤

Wild clay and wild pottery process. Well planned and executed. Fascinating and beautiful. There is a series in the UK called The Great Pottery throw down…I think. It shows techniques where the contestants use all sorts of materials to affect the colour and texture. The show is of course not realistic, however the end results and different methods explored with experts in the field, make it enjoyable and informative. Great video. You and your neighbours make up a formidable, positive force. ✨🌈👍🏻🌈✨
