I can't believe I just listened to a woman saying she is completely in favour of the man in her life having time away from her to spend with his male friends or even his immediate family! Every woman I have ever had a relationship with, as soon as the relationship becomes obvious, will begin to immediately try to separate me from my mates or family. They will mount a subtle and secretive campaign to create situations where the time we spend together is slowly whittled away until, one day, you suddenly realise you haven't seen your lifelong best friend in about five years! I've had it done to me numerous times so, again: I'm astonished!

Akela is afraid of the wheelbarrow? Not the 642 COYOTES howling at night, just the wheelbarrow. Ever since you calmly mentioned the howling in the distance, all I can see now is a coyote Toga party as they set the dinner table. By the way, my arms are killing me from helping you lift those boards (in my mind}.

It’s not that easy when on the road you try to save as much as you can and use items till the brake down from old age. I lived in my foreclosed home for 3 years and to be honest I loved the simple lifestyle appreciating every possession you attain l.

I'm always interested in how people in the nomad life handle keeping food and, so far, I have never seen a video of anyone using a food dehydrator in their van etc. I don't know why, because, to me at least, dehydrated food is a no brainer for someone wanting to or actually living the life and I say that for several reasons. ! ) Once you have a cache of dehydrated food, no refrigeration or freezing is needed to preserve your food. Therefore, a significant savings in fuel and/or power. 2 ) Dehydrated food takes up little space in your vehicle, where no doubt is at a premium. 3 ) Dehydrating food has an incredible reduction in the weight of the food you can carry with you. Properly dehydrated food has a loss of liquid content of about 95%. For instance, I once dehydrated 1 kilo of prawn ( shrimp ) tails and the end result weighed a mere 185 grams. I'll leave you to work out the % loss in liquid and, if you're a from Seppoland, the conversion to pounds and ounces as well. According to my very old acabus, it's a weight loss any failed dieter would be proud of! Almost any type of food can be dehydrated, including most fish and other seafoods. However some bird flesh should be avoided such as duck and goose because of the oil content, as should pork because of it's fat content. Oily and fatty meats just become rancid after dehydrating and aren't worth the effort. If you are going to go down the dehydrator track, I personally wouldn't be bothered using one of those little ones with the round trays in it. I have a Excalibur dehydrator with 9 14' square trays, so you can really load it up with food. As a foot note, if you have a dehydrator, you can easily make pemmican, one of the greatest survivor foods ever invented. Pemmican, if stored correctly, will last, not for weeks or months, but for years! So if you are of a conspiracy theorist's mindset and I'm not being critical one way or the other, pemmican just might be on your wish-list! Good Luck and I'll see you down the track, bye 'm' bye!

I lived in a Class C working as a travel RN. I used the money saved to buy a house and rented it out. The tenants have totally paid the house off plus some. Now that I'm older I LOVE having a paid off house, AC/heat, full bathroom and kitchen, chest freezer, washer/dryer, garage, high speed internet, a real address. Looking at the photos I collected in my travels they leave me cold. Who are they, where was this, why am I there, who cares? I had some enjoyment, saw places, did things, met people, but the best of all those times are the memories of the patients I cared for and the contacts I still keep with past co-workers in the hospitals. I've never kept up with anyone I met in campgrounds. My nursing assignments included decent pay plus housing, which I saved and rented space in an RV campground for the 13 week assignments I got as a travel RN. I'd work overtime if I could, bank up the money and take a month or so off in-between the three month hospital assignments. How quickly the adventure changed into routine. I bought a nice home in Sedona, Az and rented it out. The tenant paid the entire mortgage, downpayment and then some over the 18 years he lived there. After he left I remodeled the place and moved in mortgage free. I downsized to a van for some camping, but have no desire to live the 'RV lifestyle' at all. My advice to those getting into it: have a well thought out exit plan if it doesn't work out or if you're older. Selling your house to do this might limit your option to buying another down the road. Knees start to go, and your back. Being too hot and too cold in an RV is normal. Breathing fumes constantly, haul out poop and haul in water gets old. These videos make it look so exciting, none show the true side. Yes, you can have great adventures, but there is also something to be said for a community that stays around you, not love bombs you then moves on in a few days. No one talks about that. When I was young in the RV there were so many older RVers that struggled getting in and out of the rig, finding a doctor, etc. I wonder what all happened to them. I never kept up with them, as an RVer we move on, and on, and on.

Oh dear god/dess I'm having flashbacks to when I learned "stick" (manual). It's amazing how 'lazy' you get when you drive auto however damn I miss the 'adventure' (or well the absolute mindfulness) of driving stick. It's a shame so many cars are going auto as I would love to drive stick here and there. There's times of course I prefer auto however I'm damn glad I learned how to drive stick.

This is for everybody, check your state, my state all part store stop carrying parts for auto before 2,000 so that means no town mechanic shop will touch it, ford dealer the same will not repair older than 10 yr. So you can’t find parts they have stop making it. I had experienced both, but it expected 2 k is 24 yr ago. But my new 2017 transit w / 6 speed i use 10 buck every 5 days vs the 150 van that used 45 buck a week, so just over 100 $ saving a month. So don’t go for old and cheap, auto shop will tell you we need the space you need to tow it, but where?
