Thank you for this, have you any herbs/ tips for good kidney health please?
@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas 7 ай бұрын
Be sure to start learning herbalism, as what I've found is we are usually our own first client, and herbs are not drugs, so there's a completely different thought process involved. Herbs to research for kidney health as starters: dandelion leaf, nettle leaf, goldenrod, horsetail, cleavers, wild violet leaf, and others....

You can add it to water, use it in cooking, take it as a syrup, etc. It's really flexible. Since these are "food" herbs, you really don't need to worry about taking too much unless you're really overdoing it!

Hi Heidi. Great video. I have one question; would using the dried herb be OK to make the oxymill concoction?

Yes, it would. Just use about 1/3 the amount, as the leaves will reconstitute somewhat in the liquid. :-)

Thanks for the video Heidi - I think my sage is still ok to pick as we have had a mild winter so far. Guess I will make an oxymel and maybe a tincture. Do the harvest rules still apply i.e. only 1/3 of the plant or since it is going into winter can I harvest more and still have it come back?
@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas 6 ай бұрын
Hi, Laura! With sage, you can cut it back like you would mint---not to the ground, but leave about 8 inches. If it's dormant, this is fine. If not yet dormant, stick with the 1/3 rule.

Hi, Maureen---I grow a LOT of my own herbs. In fact, I once counted up all the herbs I cultivate and also forage nearby, and it was around 120 ish. There are probably more now. I've made videos about many of the herbs in my garden and even have a playlist on this.... Here's the 2nd one in the series---I just googled it, and this one came up first: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r8eRaK2DtK-vkp8.html
