Love that idea. Especially how you use the stove rack that no one uses lol for drying. I have a couple that i should re-purpose to my drying rack

Honestly, we threw out all our old ones, these are all we use now. They're super convenient and take up a fraction of the space! Thanks for the comment!

I started doing beginner woodworking projects when I turned 60. I am very interested in making these trivets for my home. They're amazing. Being new at this, I was hoping you could give me the dimensions of the ones you created. Thank you in advance.

I’ve made a few batches and they’re all a bit different, but I aim for about 6” long, 3/8ish thick and however wide you make your dado is how wide they must be. 3/4-1” range. Good luck!

What are the pieces called that you place between the blades at 1:22 section of the video?

It’s a dado blade. It comes as a kit with multiple blades and spacers for making wide cuts.

Just make sure you do your homework before using one. They can be very dangerous if used improperly. Cheers!

When shopping for a dado stack, you do not need a 10" stack for a 10" saw. It is an unnecessary spend, plus an 8" will do the job just fine because you will never have to set it so high just for dados. It also won't tax the power on your saw (lots more metal/weight to spin up with a 10" vs 8")
