oh man this Tyrrell P34 was jank, but the version I'm making available to you is already fixed, and it immediately became my fav car to drive haha! I keep cruising in it for fun

Even though this car has horrible steering, it actually looks really grippy if it weren't for the steering jankiness keep up the vids fill :)

What a beautiful machine! Both the original and the one you made, in all seriousness! Massive effort and a brilliant result. I still stand by my statement that the Automation devs should hire you, and even the BeamNG devs to some extent

@@fillman86 you're on the right path! Most people who do art start from copying real things (i.e real cars in this case). I have a strong feeling that this is actually an excellent way to get into 3D modeling your own stuff

They made 4 small wheels on front, because splitter was mostly covering them, wheels mostly covered = less drag.

Front wheel wake management is still a top priority in f1. Having some straight from a kart sure makes the problem smallee

I kinda want to see the late 60s, early 70s Le mans Sportscar/Prototype version of this, but modernized for an exhibition run. Something like a 917 x Ford P68/F3L x Lotus Type 40 x (maybe) 935 using four 8"-9" wide, 21"-23" tall radials on 14s or 15s at the front and using two 13.5"-15.5" wide, 28" tall radials on 17s or 18s at the rear. Also carbon ceramic brakes, a 6 or 7-speed sequential, Geared LSD, full undertray (Possibly even a downforce one), ABS(only driver assist), etc. And perhaps a 10k+ RPM Turbo engine shooting for 750HP or so.

14:40 that round thing has to be the diferential housing, and the falic thing the transmission itself. It's common for longitudinal manual transmission to hace the diferential between the clutch and the gear themselves. It's the same design as the picollina from beam, but backwards

@@fillman86 I am quite glad that the automation devs added the wheel base offset because before such a thing existed, moving the 5th/6th wheels were a complete pain in the back.

It is aluminum considering this car was 6 YEARS before carbon fibre was first used on an F1 car

yeah, the outer panels were fibreglass. I didn't do a good job of explaining why I chose carbonfibre, I trying to reach the weight goal... unfortunately I was still hundreds of Kg over :(

13 days late, I am here! I know how to do 6 wheelers in the sense that I know that inevitably everything will go wrong when I made 6 wheelers if it didnt work correctly I deleted it and tried again (unless I could tell what is going wrong)

Hi, what kind of software did you use where the model is shown in shapes at 12:30 min.? and same question at 14:30 min., looks like a showroom or what is it?

the first one is blender, it's free, but may take a bit of time to learn if you don't have experience. For 14:30, that's just a website that people upload 3D models to :) there's loads of them

when painting the body, there's a lower tab to paint the wheels. In there you can paint the tyres too, then I just paint it plastic, and fiddle with the settings until I'm happy :)

@@fillman86 yes, you exported the 6wheel with normal front wheels and a second time after you moved the front axle backwards to the position from 2. front axle. so you get 2 files, but how did you get them together, without overwriting the needed files or did you copy parts from one car.file to the other?

it's honestly too complicated for a video tutorial. If you want, you can take the mod from the repository and look at the code yourself

@@fillman86 I' sorry to ask again, but I'm having trouble trying to make a 6 wheeler truck. I replicated your files and I think I did well, but the truck appears with the "no textures" thing and only the front wheels. How did you fix this?

@@dothland-2 this is probably the hardest mods I've done, and you should not try to tackle it until you have a lot more experience nodding. I also couldn't just "tell you" because I still make a load of errors. And troubleshooting something I can't see is too hard. Sorry
