“Gyms were created because everyone left the farm”, love it SO true! Just transplanted perennials and 4 Polaris beds full of wood chips for new residence. Who needs a gym!

Pin wheels have become a favourite in our house, we make them with any meat we have left over after the Sunday dinner and eat them for lunch for the first couple of days of the week, last week was lamb with minted kale and roasted red Peppers, we have chicken for dinner this Sunday so it'll be chicken with a bbq sauce and what ever else I have to chuck in them, just know this you have inspired less food waste all the way over here in the uk. And Meg your looking stunning as always. I bet buggie is so excited for a new baby, she will be your best helper!

Ben and Meg, you are both artists. In the garden or the kitchen, just delightful. Strapping young men are a Godsend. I have two and love them with all my heart.

Mix yellow mustard, pineapple jelly, and horse radish. Start with 1/2 cup of each jelly and mustard add horseradish to taste. Add more jelly to make it sweeter, or more mustard to taste. GREAT DIPPING SAUCE FOR CHICKEN

Hamburger pinwheels with creamed peas over top are good too. (But made with a biscuit dough)Love seeing the family eating together, reminds me of raising my family.

Try sage or poultry seasoning in the pinwheels, then eat them with cranberry sauce!

I had an old Hollar video come up on my KZfaq feed yesterday. I decided to watch it and it was delightful. The family and Meg’s sister’s family were taking photographs on the beach as they were working their way northward to San Simeon/Hearst Castle. I loved looking at the children. The twins were so young and of course Buggy wasn’t even born yet. On those days when you’re missing new Hollar videos, I suggest you take the time to look back on the family when all the boys were so young. I’m so happy the old videos came up on my KZfaq feed. It was like looking at old family VHS tapes. Why Ben even had short hair!Lol😊

The greenhouse looks so much better now. Those logs are really going to do a great job keeping all of the soil in place and the plants out of the walkway. The footing prep looks like it will make a very substantial sub straight for the addition. Now, we can see the footprint of the interior part of the extension.

Meg and Ben- It was such a good decision to initially renovate the mobil home, especially adding this new addition. Serves your family well. Your homesteading story is real and one that others can watch and know how to go about it from scratch. You don't have big backers funding your progress, just the normal side income of your shop, lovely homemade soaps, the odd class and You Tube. With honorable mention of money you save by home building projects, growing your own food, cooking and prepping it for storge. Minus You Tube, we did the same thing. We did own two properties before we married and used that combined profit, along with our jobs to build a basic new house eight years ago. I was 65 at the time, so we had used what we managed to earn over the years. Now we are semi-retired, living by our wits and a common sense budget, next to our family farm. So exciting counting down for you baby's arrival! ~ Diane

Meg and Ben that walkway in the greenhouse reminded me when few years ago we had lots of trees removed near the house and they got woodchipped. So I did our driveway and all around the garden walking paths it looked absolutely stunning. Especially looking upwards to the driveway from the street. It was a lot of yellow bark smelled amaizing. Such a shame it broken down so we had to get a proper cover for the driveway. We had logs chopped downs for garden edging but they got broken up😢. Love whimsical gardens. So looking forward to see the extension build. Hope the rain going to stop soon Ben can finish the job. Thank you all you made my Saturday morning. 🫂🫶

It was so sweet to get a pregnancy update! So thankful you are feeling good in these last weeks before baby's due!❤🤗 Boy, those taters are looking great!!!! And my goodness, all those volunteer tomatoes are a great surprise!!! We used to grape tomatoes that came up every year. We always called them "tommy toes"!😊 I like how you sectioned off the greenhouse! Across the Asheville mtn in northeast Tennessee, we're getting an abundance of rain as well. Definitely too wet for working on your building project. Where you've dug out the footers looks so nice! Good job "Hollar Construction Crew"!👍
