I've been using a drill for drilling ice holes for three years now. There's no looking back to gas augers after.

Great job. Looks like it could use a longer handle to keep it stable and it's perfect. Would love to see a test with masonry core bits 50mm-150mm. Great videos as always.

Part of what made me decide I wanted XGT torque was wanting to run a 3" planting auger to dig holes for all my transplants on a large garden, about cooked an Milwaukee M18 combi drill. Good to see the Makita has the beans to turn a much more substantial auger.
