A first quick look at the brand new Makita 40V Max XGT battery powered commercial blower. Just my initial thoughts and c apple of shots of the blower in use. Great bit of kit.

Picked this up the other day for £179., Really happy with it. Nice blower, comfortable and well balanced 👍🏻

Nice! I just got the same blower on easter weekend. Just a friendly tip i noticed. With the nozzle pointing up like you have. The blower would push back hard and shove the battery into my forearm (maybe my wrists aren't as strong). The attachments can fit pointing up or down. When nozzle points down there is very little 'kickback'. Alot easier to handle. If you still have the blower, try turning nozzle the other way. Makita's image of it suggests facing down. The attachments have about 3 lengths they can be set to. Very happy with XGT mower. cleaned and sprayed silicone underdeck (keeps wet grass from sticking). Just waiting for Makita powerhead and chainsaw to arrive.

Great blower mate I’ve just got one and love it I use it along side my Ego LB6500 blower . Hey mate a random question just wondering where you get you shirts from as I’m looking to get some for my business and having no luck in finding them so far . Thanks for your amazing videos . Thanks for watching mate. Shirts are KingGee Workcool 2 in green and most workwear stores sell them. I get ours from Hip Pocket or Totally Work Wear. Cheers 🤙🏻

Hey Ki. Love the channel mate. Learnt a lot and has helped the inspiration to start on my own. One big question I have for you. If you started out again, would you start with battery hand tools (whipper/blower etc) over petrol. Do you think the upfront cost is worth it. I was considering ego but You’ve definitely got me keen on Husqvarna now. Thanks mate

Hi Ben, thanks for the message mate. Depending on your current financial circumstances I would still suggest getting a base petrol kit to start off, comprising of a line trimmer, blower and mower. Then get the Husqvarna battery pole hedger and standard hedger with two BLi200 batteries and one QC300 fast charger. Then when you are earning a good income invest in the other battery tools. Then you have petrol backups too. Obviously if you have heaps of money do whatever you like lol….

@@lovelawns thanks Ki for getting back to me. Wasn’t expecting that advice but makes absolute sense! Starting with the hedger also sounds like a great stepping stone into the lineup. Appreciate the advice Ki. Love your channel mate 👍👍
