Being a fellow Pakistani and about the same age as Malala, it is remarkable how much she has achieved at the age of 18. I'm turning 18 next week and I'm not even close to her. But I'm so proud of her. And it kills me when our nation hates her and does not consider her worthy of a Nobel prize. But then i read the comments and realize that she's loved so much by people all around the world so thank you all!
@thatgirl34588 жыл бұрын
+Ganesh R i know that and i don't know the reason behind it myself. People here believe that the great humanitarian Abdul sattar Eidhi was more worthy of the noble prize ( but that's no reason to hate someone because someone deserves it more)
@ganeshrvel8 жыл бұрын
+Thatgirl345 or it was just because only this girl got popular amongst 100s of other kids who were slaughtered or bombed by Taliban. I heard this comment before from someone. Anyway someone is showing guts. It's time to appreciate that instead of calling her 'names'.
@thatgirl34588 жыл бұрын
+Ganesh R yes you are right. That's another very lame reason to hate her. We know that many kids died because of terrorism but she was the one who raised the voice against it. She was the one who became a voice of authority and raised awarness.

john 321 The main reason I'm highly skeptical is that I've seen several different Malala's being interviewed or speaking- mainly on Pakistani TV. I could dig up some links if you wanted. It _could_ be that those TV stations are being scammed, and the Malala living in the UK is genuine. However, I doubt it. I've read that the father had ambitions to profit from a network of schools, and was subsequently struck some kind of deal with a company called McKinley and co. who have ties to the UN, and wish to get involved in an education program of theirs in a private-public partnership arrangement.. I cannot say for sure that this does lie at the heart of the Malala story, but I find it very suspicious that the dad has landed a high-flying diplomat gig working for the Pakistani consulate in the UK, despite having no relevant qualifications, or, really, much relevant experience. Another, more obvious motive, is that villainising the Taliban in such a cartoonish way provides justification for constant drone-strikes into Pakistan, such as the one that killed the leader of the Taliban this week. I don't see these two motives as being mutually exclusive, especially when international and Governmental bodies are involved. Women and children are often used in psy-ops- For an acknowledged example, I refer you to the faked testimony of Nayirah al-Ṣabaḥ who claimed Iraqi soldiers had taken babies out of incubators and left them on the cold hard floor, and which help kick off the first gulf war.
@kcmn00898 жыл бұрын
+Eman Puedama I asked because I know the British doctor who first visited Malala in an ICU in Pakistan after she had surgery for gun shot. It was she who suggested that Malala should be taken to the UK for further treatment because she felt that there was more chance of her getting an infection from the hospital.
@kcmn00898 жыл бұрын
