@Rituparna Sonowal She is so confident while speaking because of an American journalist Adam B. Ellick, Who was living with her family in Pakistan. Thousand of Pakistanis and dozens of innocent children and women have been martyred in drone attacks.... even never bothered to write a single condolence letter to the heirs of those martyrs..... Moreover, in a great hurry to create this fake story, even they forgot that two other girl students were also injured besides Malala... this proves that CIA, Black Water, and ISI are on the same page about this issue.

I am not saying it to demean Malala in any way, she is a true source of inspiration but I find it really funny that someone gives 30+ years of his life for saving children from abuse and human trafficking and you get to share nobel with him because you got shot by the taliban. I mean it needs a lot of courage to stand against Taliban but so does standing against human trafficking mafia, and imagine getting threatened for your life for 30 years. I find it funny too that suddenly all of the western world ignores that guy and gives its all attention to Malala, all because Taliban is popular.

Many people don't realise what a big role her father has played in her life... Dads particularly Asian Dads are rarely ever THIS supportive and invested in helping their kids (and I know this since I am an asian kid) cope with the world, more often than not they give into the pressure of the "society" and what he has done is soo much more commendable considering the background in which he was raised in and they as a family belonged to before the incident.

@realest_8 жыл бұрын
Cait Budchen A lot of feminists just campaign about irrelevant issues such as girl not being able to wear vests to school forgetting the big global issues faced by women like no education.
@caitbudchen32908 жыл бұрын
+Sam Ok so, here's the thing: Women not getting education is outrageously wrong. As a woman, I fully fully agree. And why does that happen? The people responsible for that area and society in general don't think that women deserve education; that's sexism. Women not being able to dress a certain way because it "distracts" men is also sexist, as it shows that women do not have autonomy in this society to be a person, not needing to live based on what men think and how they feel about women's actions as human beings. You probably agree that that's wrong as well. It's not as harmful as what women from the Middle East are going through but it's also not a positive thing to compare tragedies so you decide which one is worse and which one you can support. We're humans, we have empathy, we're able to feel and fight for more than one particular and specific cause. One fight does not block the other. Do you feel me? Let me know your thoughts.
@realest_8 жыл бұрын
Cait Budchen I agree you, that's obviously wrong in many ways. A lot of feminists (particularly Tumblr and Twitter feminists) have a very western political view in terms of equality. Look at Malala; she's powerful, independent, strong and a role model to many young girls. She campaigns about relevant issues to liberate women, not the alteration of dress-codes. It's quite sad how women who choose to wear more are looked down upon by society (including 'feminists').

This is the face of true feminism! Not just some privileged women shouting in the streets like they don't have anything.
@maximilianhaas5768 жыл бұрын
Right
@selenagomezluver72718 жыл бұрын
Shouting on the streets like they don't have anything? Hahaha they're "shouting on the streets" because even in countries like America, women still aren't treated equally. Wherever you go, there isn't true equality. There are women that have it a lot worse like Malala, but every woman should stand up for her rights, even if people like you see that as the complaint of a "privileged".
@marleyrose32608 жыл бұрын
Totes
@austen89508 жыл бұрын
+Lisa Chen the idea of feminism is that we are trying to eliminate all of it. Malala's struggle was awful, but it doesn't invalidate the struggle of people who don't have the conventional body type for American beauty standards. They are all problems, and we want to fix all of them.

@raspberrywizard6 жыл бұрын
Rahul Rathod so true
@Cathee.M.6 жыл бұрын
+Rahul Rathod Because the bullies are hateful, angry and jealous of other people's motivation, drive, happiness and strength. They are truly miserable people who don't know any other way of validating themselves other than by bullying and harassing honest, kind people. in the end, though, they will lose, because kindness and compassion will always prevail, no matter how much people try to crush them.
