Month 23! Malaysia is our temporary home as the world adjusts to Covid-19. We spent our 23rd month as full-time slow travelers living in George Town, Malaysia. There are so many sights to see, so much good food to eat, and fabulous activities to keep us busy. This video will highlight month 23 of our world travel adventure (June/July 2020).
In this video we will:
- Give a tour of our apartment in George Town, Malaysia
- Visit a local grocery store on Penang Island
- See some of Malaysia's best street art in George Town
- See some of George Town's historical sights.
- Ride our bikes through George Town's UNESCO Heritage Site
- Visit some of the jetties in George Town, Malaysia
- Tour a historical 19th century mansion in George Town
- Visit the Snake Temple on the south part of Penang Island
- Eat Nasi Kandar in George Town, Malaysia
- Visit the observation deck at the top of Komtar Tower in George Town
- Say "thank you" to Vision First Optic
- Say "thank you" to G.E.L. Computer Center

Every night I'm eagerly waiting for your new video to come out, especially during RMCO in Malaysia. Hopefully you will show us everyday. Very interesting to see how's happy to be able to travel each and every state within Malaysia. With multicultural regardless of people, foods, historical building, religion and many more in one roof with peace and harmony.

Penang looks wonderful. That's one of the things that struck us about Singapore was how communities with different religions all work and live near each other and get along. I remember one road had a Catholic church, a mosque, a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple all within a couple of blocks of each other.

The Snake Temple used to be on the edge of the forest, with snakes coming and going from the wild. Now it’s in the middle of suburbia, so a limited number of caged snakes.

George Town in Penang is one of favorite cities in Southeast Asia. It has a unique blend of architecture, street art, and hawker heavenly spicy and medicinal food. In George Town, it feels like the entire city IS the attraction. You can get lost in its maze of heritage houses without any real agenda and still feel like you had an eventful day. Weather is always friendly and enjoy showers of rain and also sun bath and sun set at the most beautiful beaches. Spot on for lovely and noise holidays.
