@@kristianeskelund4420 not really, there's a vocal placement after switching chest voice (M1) to M0 (fry voice or strohbass voice) and a person can try to keep a continuous, smooth sound/vocal placement similar to chest voice, although it would still not be chest voice while sounding similar to chest voice, I call that strohbass voice to differentiate from the common fry voice

I swear G1 is the most terrifying note to hear. Not because it's the lowest or the most musical but because as soon as you hear a strong chest G1 from a singer you immediately know that: 1- You've just met a serious bass 2- He can go even lower and the only things more terrifying than a G1 are the notes below it (I'm looking at you E1 😨)

8:53 Geoff's G1 is the best for me, he can do as well as the Oktavists. I think he is an oktavist, if you stop to look he has the same range. I know, it sounds crazy, but he can do a lot and better. Oktavists use a lot of chest fry. If Geoff uses this technique, he can reach a D1. But I think I may be going too far, after all the tone of an oktavist is much lower. So that is my opinion
@musikavatarethan3 жыл бұрын
Geoff is not an oktavist. in fact, oktavist isn't even a voice type, but rather a vocal role. in that case, i think you mean "basso profondo" if you're talking about voice type. even so, he still wouldn't be a profondo, he loses resonance around D2/C#2, while oktavist can resonate MUCH lower. although he does have clean G1's in chest, that doesn't mean he could be an oktavist. also range doesn't always determine one's voice type. also Geoff apparently doesn't know what chest-fry is :')
