I live around 2 minutes away from the short hills mall which is were the shooting took place in 2013. Its been around 7 years from the shooting and here is a little update, the car had even passed my home which was caught on the stop light camra. It took about a year after the shooting for people to start going back to the mall, short hills mall lost a lot of money during this time. But till this day the parking spot were Jamie Friedland had parked still remains empty. the only time that i have seen a car in the spot was during the holidays.

All this just to steal a car , so sad . They didn't have to kill the guy

I’m surprised those guys got away. I grew up nearby. That used to be a heavily policed area from Millburn, Summit, Springfield, Union, Maplewood, Irvington and Newark Police. Not to mention NJ state police used to be lined up along 24&78. They were not hesitant about jumping into action if there was any other jurisdictions in trouble.
