Sed it’s definitely a great game but for me personally I prefer the Witcher 3 simply because of the characters, Skyrim rivals the Witcher 3 in every aspect except characters, since I never really got to care much for Skyrim characters they always felt dull and bland at least in my opinion, but with the Witcher 3 all the characters are so down interesting and well developed, even the antagonists are pretty intriguing and add a lot to the plot

Hauke Holst Yeah, for understandable reasons. They caught you border-hopping and in the company of rebels during a war. If I were in their place, I'd have done the same thing. I choose Empire because I understand their need to protect the poeple, even when it's from themselves. Ulfric was a self centered, power-hungry tyrant. He has no love for the Nords, or the people of Skyrim, only himself. If you are a fan of the series, you at least know that the Emperors of Skyrim have always followed strict codes and traditions, and place a high priority on the safety of people they govern. The Empire is always the right choice.

Ok. Even if you did happen to win the war in Skyrim there is still the whole Imperial army in the other continents. Then there is still the whole other army of elves (Thalmor) that you have to fight. Now yes you can play as a dark elf and join the stormcloaks but that’s only for game mechanics. Nords Hate the other races. just walk around Whindhelm and listen. oddly enough, siding with the empire is probably the "better" choice. Not because I hate talos or skyrim or anything. But because the empire weakens by losing skyrim therefore giving more power to those damned elves. If the empire keeps skyrim it means they have more power and could possibly kick those elves out once and for all. Banning Talos was intentional on the elves part. As well as instigating things to try and get Skyrim to rebel. They want the empire to crumble so they can take it for themselves. Then, once they have so much power, they can take skyrim as well. :

john karol This was before the game ever starts. Back when the Imperials were still at war with the Thalmor, they captured Ulfric then let him go at a later point (still in the years before the game begins) to stir up trouble.

+Rixoli In fact, the Empire submitted because they were beaten and had to banish the Talos cult to survive. Obviously, for Nords worshipping Talos, it wasn't pleasing to them.

+Rixoli The dunmer and the argonians in Windhelm are not oppressed. They can leave Windhelm any time they like. They weren't born there, they moved there when Red Mountain erupted. This said, most of them were Telvanni/Redoran nobles, and expected royal treatment in Skyrim, even though their politics don't hold any meaning in Skyrim. They are living normal lives; they just THINK its poor living conditions because it's not up to par with the fancy shit they're used to. In terms of the argonians, the dunmer and argonian peoples hate each other. Dunmer enslaved them, and then argonians took over, etc. The reason they're doing all the dock work is because the dunmer refused to (nobles have lesser men do hard labour), and the argonians have much more stamina than humans. They can also tolerate the cold better. Argonians, despite being reptilian, are classified as warmblooded by Bethesda. Secondly, dunmer come from an extremely hot climate. Any type of extreme cold would be bad for them. To clarify, if the argonians and dunmer were put in the same location, they would tear each other apart. That's another reason why the argonians are outside. I'm not sure how long argonians live, but I’ve heard that dunmer live to 400. Assuming this is true, some of the dunmer who ran argonian labour camps are still around, so argonians wouldn't just hate dunmers for what they did in the past, but also the ones who got away with it and still live comfortable lives to this day. Talk to Niranye, too. She's not pro-Stormcloak, and she's an elf. BUT WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT? She's a successful merchant, and judging by her high-level stock of ebony and glass equipment, I'm assuming she's made a fortune off of it. Ulfric never oppressed her. Ulfric may have a bias, but he can't be ~that~ racist, seeing as he lets the dovahkiin, which can hypothetically be any race, join his military and become a general. Galmar even backs this up, saying they don't "just" take Nords. No, he isn't letting you join because you're dragonborn. How do I know this? Because Ulfric doesn't know you're dragonborn until the end of the war. The Empire however, caters to the Aldmeri Dominion. "Someone of importance AND HE WASN'T A MER? BAN BAN BAN." The Thalmor are the racist ones. The Empire broke their promise to Ulfric and his soldiers. The Empire said they would lift the ban on Talos worship if Ulfric helped clear out the Forsworn. He did, and the elves are like "nope, fuck it, arrest Ulfric.” Everyone says "But a Stormcloak victory makes it easier for the Aldmeri Dominion to take over Skyrim." No, it doesn't. It's reducing their allies’ numbers. How in the world does that strengthen them? "Oh yes, we're losing backup! We can TOTALLY invade Skyrim now!" Hammerfell has been successfully holding the Thalmor off for years, so why can’t the Nords do that? Before bringing up the Thalmor dossier, do note that it specifically states that a Stormcloak victory is to be avoided. Yes, they intend on keeping the war going, but the Thalmor can’t afford to see the Empire fall. The argonian presence within Windhelm (and more importantly, the Argonian Assemblage) also suggests that Ulfric is intending on creating a second Ebonheart Pact, seeing as he intends on warring the Aldmeri Dominion directly after dealing with the Empire. With four nations instead of one (Hammerfell) coming at the Thalmor all at once, I do believe this second pact would have a good chance at defeating the Dominion. The Assemblage could later be repurposed as a guarded headquarters for An-Xileel representatives. Therefore, the Empire is corrupt and is NOT strong whatsoever. In Morrowind, all Imperial missions were about taking down traitors in their ranks. Traitor after traitor, it began to feel like EVERYONE in the Legion was an idiot. If Emperor Titus Mede II doesn't fear an assassin from the Dark Brotherhood, why did he sign the White-Gold Concordat at the edge of a blade? Doesn't make much sense to me. Before any of you mention how Skyrim doesn't actually belong to the Nords, let me explain a little history. Ever heard of the Night of Tears? You see, when the Atmorans first arrived at Skyrim, they simply wanted refuge. Unlike the dunmer in Windhelm, the Atmorans were grateful for what they were given, and they never once bothered the elves. The elves noticed how "quickly" the Atmorans could breed, which is to say, not very fast at all. Seeing as elves live longer lives, I'm guessing that elven fetuses gestate for a longer period of time than humans. This caused the unprovoked elves to go apeshit and start a human genocide. THIS is what caused Ysgramor to start the Companions, and THIS is why he slaughtered elves. It was revenge, and it was justified. So, does Skyrim belong to the Nords? Technically not, but did they have reason to conquer it? Yes, and at this point, it DOES belong to the Nords now. Ulfric was honourable enough to warn Balgruuf that he was coming to invade. Therefore, I'd assume that he was fair when dueling High King Torygg, who by the way, was challenged to a fair fight. He was never murdered. So let's begin; In ancient times, Nordic custom was that one man can challenge another to an honorable duel. If both men agreed, they can meet up and fight. The first to give up or die was declared the loser, and the winner was given whatever they were dueling over. "But Ulfric walked in and killed him" This is completely false. In game dialogue does prove that Ulfric challenged Torygg to an honorable duel, which Torygg accepted. "Torygg had to accept, he didn't have a choice" Yes he did. As any man has the right to challenge someone to an honourable duel, any man also had the right to refuse a challenge. "Torygg would have looked like a coward if he rejected" Doesn't matter, he still accepted. He just put his pride over his life. "Using the thu'um was cheating" This is bullshit. At the time these customs took effect, using the thu'um was not only allowed, it was praised. Even a basic shout like 'Fus Ro Dah', takes years of meditation and dedication to be able to perform. Using the thu'um was just using what you know, and it served as a testament to your dedication and strength. "Torygg didn't know Ulfric had the thu'um" Complete fabrication. Not only is it common knowledge that Unfric studied with the greybeards. Ulfric is a well known war hero. And it's well known he used the thu'um in the war. If Torygg didn't know, that's his fault. "The Empire does not recognize this law" There are no records of the Empire changing this law. I could understand why they wouldn't give Ulfric the throne, but charging him with murder while they watched Ulfric duel and kill Torygg is just ridiculous. "This custom affects the smallest things, and not the throne" False. Jorunn the Skald-Kind challenged his brother to the throne, and got it when he won the duel.

Imperial - Stormcloack alliance confirmed?

Believe it or not, those damn elves want the civil war to happen, so that just in case another great war occurs, they'd conquer the Empire by a landslide since they've been weakened by the Stormcloaks.

That's why I'm compelled when it comes to choosing the Stormcloaks and the Imperials. The stormcloaks want freedom, and their right to worship who they please. The Imperials need skyrim to stay, so that the Aldmeri Dominion doesn't completely sweep humans off of Tamriel.

Skyrim also needs the Empire for suplies since if they become independent they would have Enemies on two Sides (High Rock and Cyrodiil) and i believe that their Nord honor is going to get in the way of trading with Dunmer and Argonians. So Hammerfell is their only trading partner
