I don't know if you read these, but I wanted to say it anyway. I have a 2-year-old son at home. When he was a small baby, I would rock him to sleep with music from Skyrim. I have tried many songs at this age as a lullaby. This is his favorite, and its not close. He asks for 'Malukah! Dragons!' before bed. I just wanted you to know that.

Well, I have to admit this. I knew Nothing of The Elder Scrolls, or of Skyrim. During the quarantine I was browsing through KZfaq and cane across some of Malukah's videos and recordings. I now have the very first gaming system I have ever owned in my life, and one game .. The Elder Scrolls V SKYRIM. (My grandson gave me his old gaming system and the game.) Malukah, your voice is so very lovely, and these songs are so mesmerizing, that I sought out the origins of this music!

(PS: This is by far the most powerful Pacify effect available, as it will work against enemies up to level 99, which is higher than any found in the game.)

My brother got a mod where the opening screen (the load game, start new, etc) plays this instead of what it normally does. It also has a different background.

I've been using a mod to replace all of Skyrim's female bard songs with yours for so long that I almost forgot it wasn't part of the vanilla game. Re-installed the game recently and forgot to activate the mod. Walked into an inn and heard one of the vanilla female bard songs playing. Couldn't stand it after listening to your versions for so long. Had to exit the game and fix it immediately. All that to say, you've got one of the best voices I've ever heard. Makes a great game that much more epic and immersive haha.

I felt so upset when I came back from Sovngarde and everyone acted like nothing ever happened, but then hearing the bards sing about my victory I got the motivation to play again.

My favorite Skyrim song done by you Malukah. Your skills as a Bard are truly legendary like the Dovahkiin. I believe you deserve to be forever stamped into the world of Tamriel as a legendary Bard. Until then, it will only happen thanks to mods.

This song…was at work on break one day listening to this and when that part”the sweet song of Skyrim the Sky shattering Thum.” It hit so hard I started sobbing so much. I thought about all my time with the game, All the countless new adventures, the struggle and frustration with mods to get that perfect immersive game right. I thought about how the game got me through a lot, I thought about my badass character and everything they go through and them standing on the ledge of a mountain peering down at the horizon of Skyrim. Just the way it is sung hits in such a way especially because its a build up to that sung line. That our character which is an extension of us is that sweet song of Skyrim. The Sky shattering thum that changed Skyrims future. Skyrim’s hero, Skyrims voice and no matter what we are in this life or where we are or how little we have accomplished that always and forever in Skyrim’s world we were someone, and for better or worse depending on play-through we made a difference and made a change. So no matter where you are or what is going on for you right now know that you accomplished something in this life, you were Skyrim’s Dragonborn.

What I love most about this song is that it tells the story of the Alduin and the Dragonborn so beautifully. The lyrics are great, but the really really neat part is that while your listening to the lyrics, your probably thinking of your own journey in the game. Your experience is part of the song. The story of the song is the story of YOU. It's so marvelous.

I first heard this cover quite a few years ago, and I absolutely loved. I just came back to it for the first time in years and I got goosebumps, and sometime about halfway through a tear came to my eye. The harmony on 'Thu'um' at 1:59, specifically is the reason why I'm here. Sometimes songs hit these notes so transcendentally beautiful they seem to transport you out of your time and place, even if only momentarily. Appropriate, given the subject matter of the song.
