Animals are so fascinating.

Neighbors helping neighbors! What an awesome group of people 🥰 Also, why don’t they make storm grates in such a way that animals don’t fall through? We should all advocate for a change so little creatures don’t get trapped.

And I am crying now. I'm so glad all the neighbors were able to rescue the babies for Mama Duckie. There is a pond behind my home. About 2 dozen ducks used to come to the edge of my yard, where I fed them cracked corn. Even when they weren't at the pond, I think they left a guard posted. I could come out and within a minute or two, they would all be behind me, quacking for corn! Other times, I would come out to feed them and would call, "Duckie! Duckie! Duckie!" and they would all fly in for corn. I would sit with my legs out. One male Duckie would come up between my legs to get corn I would hold in my hand.He would scoop up a "snoot full" and, after a few, would stretch his neck and moe his head back and forth to get it to go down. Over three years, I did not get to touch him even with just a finger! The Turtles took over at the pond and they moved on. I sure miss my DUCKIES!!! <3

I know she must be frantic. The rescue was a challenge. I can just imagine how grateful they are. Blessings to all of you.

The momma duck was so adorable watching everyone save her babies. This makes me cry for joy ❤️❤️❤️

Reminds me of a newborn lamb found all along on the side of the road. The trailer carrying the sheep crashed and sheep sadly didn't make it. Even worse the weather was cold. We warmed him up and fed him a bottle of goat's milk which is all we had. The sweet little lamb was running around inside and doing good and staying warm. My female dog cuddled up with him and doted on him like she was the mother. A wonderful moment. He later went to a rescue with other lamb's, sheep and donkeys. I think he lived happily ever after. I'll never forget that experience. All by accident.
