This is the first time they were invited to MAMA. They gave life to that award show! Mamamoo's live never disappoints. Yes those were their solo songs.

Mamamoo is born to be a performer. Mamamoo never disappointed their fans. You need to check out egoistic MV cause they all look sexy in it and it sound Spanish vibe. Starry night is a beautiful MV. Yes, they perform their solo on stage.

There's lots to talk about in this performance but I'll answer a couple of questions first. Yes, you heard Starry Night and Egotistic in the Killing Voice medley. Yes, there are MVs or performance videos for every song. Yes, they performed Hip at the 2019 MAMA award show and they also did a collab with JYP that was the talk of the town. There are several concepts going on in the 2018 MAMA performance. It's a mini-concert that gives a snapshot of what they did in their 2018 concerts called 4 Seasons S/S (Spring/Summer). They wore red to represent the summer color of the 4 Season 4 Color project, which was a series of 4 albums they released from late March 2018 to early March 2019, one album per season. Each album had a theme season and color and each album featured a self-composed solo song by one of the members. Each title track explored a stage of love in a four part relationship cycle from Attraction to Passion to Heartbreak to Unattached that matched each season's color. Red was the Summer color, the emotion was Passion, and the song was Egotistic. This was their debut performance at a MAMA award show and they brought all their passion to the stage in a showstopping performance that went viral and stirred controversy because of Hwasa's "too sexy" hot red outfit. Haters missed the point entirely, though I wouldn't expect haters or casual fans to pick up on Mamamoo's concepts for the performance and of course being a baby radish you'd have no idea, which is why I'm blabbing on about it. As to the solo songs, Solar first pole danced in the Egotistic MV and she liked it so much she continued training and got quite good at it. Her doctor approved as a way to build core strength and counteract the effects of a car accident that injured her back. I think she kept it up until the pandemic. Wheein performed Easy, her solo debut song released earlier in 2018. Moonbyul did Selfish, which was her solo song on the MMM album that included Egotistic. The recording & MV of Selfish featured Moonbyul's close friend Seulgi of Red Velvet but Seulgi wasn't available for the MAMA show so Moonbyul invited Iz*One's Chaewon to join her instead. Iz*one appears several times in the video - they're the ones catching flies during Solar's pole dance and the ones fangirling in the back during Wheein's solo. Hwasa did a short snippet of Don't, which was a collab with rapper Loco and producer Woogie that they composed for a tv show called Hyena on the Keyboard. Don't was one of the year's biggest hits and one of the sexiest collabs in kpop history. There's no MV so check out the Above Live video if you want to watch Hwasa torture Loco. 😏 It's ok for reactions. As I mentioned, k-nets were all over Hwasa for being too sexy and it turned into such a shitstorm that RBW felt compelled to issue a statement clarifying that the members had chosen their own wardrobe (the stylists were being blamed) and that the company didn't have a problem with what they wore. Hwasa said nothing but for Mamamoo's next award show performance a few days later she wore black lingerie as if to say "If you thought the red outfit was too sexy then how do you like this one, bitches?!" That's our girl. Since you said you wanted to watch the Starry Night and Egotistic MVs here's a list of the major songs in the 4 Season 4 Color project and what they represent in the symbolic and conceptual scheme: Paint Me. A pre-release single from the first 4S4C album. Paint Me introduces all the major concepts and symbolism of the project and the color assigned to each member. Paint Me is my favorite MMM song and was my personal pick for 2018 SOTY. It's one of Mamamoo's major vocal masterpieces. They've performed two very different versions live - the original arrangement and an orchestral version that includes a new rap verse by Moonbyul. Both are spectacular. Starry Night: Spring/Yellow Attraction. Yellow Flower album with Hwasa's solo song Be Calm. Egotistic: Summer/Red/Passion. Red Moon album with Moonbyul's solo song Selfish. Wind Flower: Fall/Blue/Hearbreak. Blue;S album with Solar's solo song Hello. Gogobebe: White/Winter/Unattached. White Wind album with Wheein's solo song 25. They did parts of all four title tracks in the Killing Voice medley. There are MVs for all the solo songs except Solar's Hello. When you get around to listening to Hello don't miss the double pole dance she and her pole dance teacher choreographed for Hello. You can find the vid on Solarsido. Naturally you can enjoy the songs without knowing all the intricacies of the 4 Season 4 Color project but since it's such a landmark achievement as the most complex project ever done by a girl group I think it helps to be familiar with the basic concepts.

I was lucky enough to go to their concert here in the US this year and let me tell you they are everything and MORE in person. It’s unreal. Loving watching your Mamamoo reactions!
