If you’re not familiar with my backstory, it’s pretty similar to REN’s but also different. The life of doctor after doctor and pill after pill will have you questioning everything and drive you absolutely insane. Almost to a point of being numb and confused. I’m glad Ren is making songs like this to bring awareness! Keep killing it my guy!

This IS Ren's "Story".....He had Lyme (Bitten by a Tick Boi) and they didn't catch it, and instead said it was all in his head and treated him for psychosis (with of course DRUGS). He has publicly talked about having PTSD around "Medical Professionals" and so, per the imagery in the video, sees them as PIGS.

They diagnosed him with a bunch of stuff that fit the symptoms but were wrong. The drugs and 'treatments' combined with the untreated lyme disease damaged his brain and _gave him_ psychosis.

@Ray Austin he was signed by Sony but when he got sick his contract basically ran it's course and they parted ways amicably. He wasn't actually dropped by them.

I understand. I have mental illnesses and physical illnesses (unknown autoimmune disease) and they just pumped me just full with every psycho drug they could find because they thought it is psychosomatic. No doctor takes the infections and the complete shit autoimmune disease seriously. Its maddening.

I've been a huge ren obsessed fan for years, constantly questioning "why isn't ren huge!". Finally he's going to be, and I'm following all the people like you who are helping that with the reactions (and there's an awful lot!) I can't wait to watch more of your reactions to his back catalogue which is HUGE, extremely diverse & every one is fantastic! Cliff, you're one of my favorite reactors online simply because you're one of the real ones. And you seem like the kind of dude one could just hang with and chill. Ren also seems like that, so this pairing is amazing. You bringing up gut health made me jump for joy♥ My psych meds gave me a rare form of cancer but I was misdiagnosed so I spent 7 years looking for other treatments. I nearly died but giving up all meds and going the alternative route saved me. That's why Ren's story resonates with me so strongly. Sony had signed him and then when he got sick and couldn't produce, they dropped him. That along with his battles of being misdiagnosed, this dude has been through it. It's been a nightmare for him to be sure, but they gave him a ton of material to write about at least! This song is so good though. With the first verse he speaks of his own experience, but in the second, he mixes in the societal issues that we all face (and ignore or worse, act like these social sickness like greed and lack of empathy are actually good in some twisted way). Ren is a genius and I hope he gets well, stays independent and crushes it like he has been.

Thank you for sharing your personal story. Definitely trust your "gut" when it comes to all health. I used to suffer from severe anxiety, depression, and autoimmune disease. I switched my diet up. Stopped all the pills and self medication. Now I eat low/no carb and I'm on no medications. Drs and Big Pharma want us sick. Amazing artists like Ren inspire me to persist and stay better. KZfaqrs who open up and relate show compassion. I hope the best for you as well my brother.

I've found Zoloft helpful, knowing it is a small piece of the answer, not an answer in and of itself. Zoloft helps me referee; dance. I still have to put in the work. Self-care was what I was neglecting; once I could take care of my diet, exercise, hygiene...and discussions with a therapist. I don't have Lyme disease; but HEALTH definitely is part of the equation!! So glad they are able to treat his physical distress from the source. AND that he's a freakin' GENIUS!

Another hydration supplement is vitassium. I have had 30plus years of autoimmune illnesses since Navy. Dysautonomia and p,o.t.s. with sjogrens, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, dysautonomia, dercums disease, tooo many comorbidities and symptoms. But dehydration is something my body has major issues with. In a climate controlled room with a body that no longer sweats. I dehydrate, hmmm anyway. Vitassium is sodium and potassium supplement. If you also need magnesium and suffer headaches, try Migravent, which are vitamin b, bitter burr and magnesium. Much ❤️

Bitten by a tick boy. Wondering if Ren had lime disease? Immediately received a large dose of antibiotics when I was bitten. Will need to look into this. Just found him recently and have not looked back. His story telling abilities are 2nd to none. His guitar skills are also amazing. Would like to see something on piano.

After a year of taking Vyvanse for my ADHD, when my grandmother passed away, I noticed myself feeling numb during her passing. I quit taking it immediately after talking to my doctor who is thankfully about quality of life over making profit suggested me to stop. Now I feel like myself again and its okay to operate differently than others, Thats going to come with good and bad. Now saying this I don’t think someone who needs their meds should stop if it helps. I was fortunate enough to be able to live and be happy even with my symptoms.

I never had Covid, but I had Sepsis two years ago, months in the hospital, over 100k in antibiotics, now have issues with fatty liver, kidney problems, etc., a lot of similar things to you, it sounds like. Very glad to see you back, you are one of my favs.

There is a long story I won’t get into right now but from personal experiences with a family member even drinking on the psych meds will have a negative effect on you so mixing chemicals makes your mental state worse then make worse decisions in the long run! We have come a long way with medicine from back in the day but it still needs so much work! People need to care about people because we are all Humans! ❤love your reaction to this! i would add that ren said that the stem cell infusion helped a LOT...didn't bring him all the way back, however. which is why he's in Canada getting further treatment. in university he used to lift weights (you should see what he looked like...doesn't even look like the same guy) b/c he was a bit insecure over being a skinny guy. now he may be limited for life exactly how much he can do physically. it's why he'll never have a big tour, no matter how popular he gets.
