I find it hilarious that the bee has nothing better to do (it got kicked from the hive) so it decided to follow Trevor for miles on end to a camp site, just to annoy him

I personally found it genius that he maintained a dislike for the bee - it was the complete opposite of what I assumed would happen. It was really clever

Rowan Atkinson definitely makes this show so much better than its own inevitable assumption. However, as a house-sitter myself, the show resonates SO MUCH more. The moment he breaks the priceless statue in the first episode, I felt that sooooo goddamn hard. I haven’t broken anything like that myself, but in the job, you yourself imagine these tragedies at a constant basis. It really is an easy job, I’m not gonna bullshit any of you. But MAAAAN can it so easily go soooo wrong at any tiny moment...

This is one of those shows where you turn your brain off and just enjoy the absurdity and chaos

He managed to trap it four times Into the microwave, the study (albeit with the dog), the piano, the tube behind the microwave, possibly the vacuum cleaner if he had sucked for longer, the Jaguar More than 4 times, and all he had to do was nothing, and he couldn’t do that

I like to think it's the exact same bee that ruined Mr Bean's Picnic back in the day.

I love Rowan Atkinson and his comedy. His facial expressions, word pronunciations, and overall quirky movements is one of a kind. Definitely today's modern Charlie Chaplain. Too funny of a guy not to love and yet he's a very intelligent person in actuality.

I really enjoyed it. I knew what I was expecting, its silly and quirky. But I loved it. Made me laugh, especially the part when the dog is unconscious and tries to wake it up. Rowan Atkinson is a legend and so happy he is still doing this sort of comedy. Plus reminded me so much of Mouse-Hunt.

Feels like Tom and Jerry, I feel excited to watch this series seeing more of Rowan's characters

Found this series pretty funny, like a lot of Atkinsons stuff, he is a modern day master of physical comedy. I think there was another missed joke with the piano aside from the "B-flat" one you came up with, I was expecting him to put "Flight of the Bumblebee" on the piano during that scene.

I binge watch this show I made a few theories while watching it but when I got to the end of it all my food is wrong

It got old super quick....I get the character is supposed to be all consumed with the bee but at the same time no one is that stupid and it made it hard to enjoy They be made the character burn the house with a blow torch to stop a bee....it's too stupid. And the scene with the Jaguar? Really?? Taking a saw to it? 🙄

Me: "Mr Bean? Hell yeah I'll watch it." 😂 That dialogue was made up, but seriously tho, I would definitely not watch it if it wasn't because of Rowan Atkinson. The show is okay, but I mostly laughed because of his physical comedy, his expressions, and so on.

The Divorce is important as theirs a bit where shes worried he will get in trouble with the law again and had prevous incidents of destruction of property due behavoir like this, So it explaines not only why he would be so obsessed over the bee as its part of his character but also what caused the divorce, Its basicly a character flaw he has but the problem is at the end by him still trying to kill the bee it shows he hasnt developed as a character

I kind of expected the piano scene where Flight of the Bumblebee was being used to kill the bee

Spoiler: My only slight niggle, is that the bad guy being a fraudster takes away from some of the re-watchability. If you know now it doesn't matter that he's destroying the house and fake valuables, it's not quite as funny as if it really WAS valuable and a disaster. But it's still a very good show and re watchable.

I didn’t personally enjoy it, tbh. I love Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean destroys my sides to this day), but this show felt just a touch too close to reality, so it was just frustrating. I feel like the reason Mr. Bean works so well for me is because he is both dumb AND completely shameless. Trevor felt both too relatable and too idiotic for me to enjoy watching him destroy the house over and over again, knowing what was at stake for him. With Bean, the stakes are usually just “someone might see him doing something dumb in public”, which has always made it easier for me to take the show less seriously. And anything to do with the dog getting poisoned/hurt just felt bad to me, even though I know it’s not real 😅 There were some parts that I enjoyed, but overall, not really my thing. Glad a lot of people are loving this series though!

The first few episodes of the series was good. However it then departs being creatively funny (like mr bean & Johnny English) and starts being stupidly repetitive. The bee consistently surviving and the whole insurance scam twist just wasn’t justified for me.

I watched it with my Filipino mom and boi on the first part it was so funny but on ep8 my mom started getting annoyed at him not ignoring the bee it’s was so funny watching her yell at him but for me I was just chilling and laughing at everything, the show and my mom.

I dont know but i felt so annoyed during the show, it was extremely uncomfortable for me to watch😪

I personally didn't like the show very much, I was really hoping to find a new refreshing and funny show but I found instead was more like a very predictable drama show. You really do feel sorry for the house owners (it could have been introduced way sooner that they are scammers so you side with house sitter more). I didn't even fully finish it cause it was so hard for me to watch. But I wanted to know how it ends so I watched the last episode. I happy for those who find it entertaining, but that show is a no for me sorry

This review has encouraged me to actually give this tv show a go. As a big Rowan Atkinson fan, I was quite apprehensive about watching this, as I wasn't sure about the quality of the premise/plot/writing etc, even though I knew that the performance by Rowan would've been great, regardless. It's also put me in the mood to go back and watch all of Blackadder again! :D Is there anything else featuring Rowan Atkinson that you would recommend, that maybe I/general public may not be too aware of? I don't understand. Rowan Atkinson said himself he was tired to play Mr. Bean, and wouldn't have continue to play this character. Then he produce this new show, staring himself, playing literally a rip off from Mr. Bean, the manners, the reactions, the behavior... I found this show entertaining for what it is, even if the concept (some unexpected little thing bringing huge disaster for someone) is totally overused. Good, but i still don't understand the reasons behind this show.

Me and my parents are Rowan Atkinson fans as well. We decided to binge the whole thing just last night. Honestly, it was just stupid imo. My parents kinda lost interests from times, especially from all the "You could've just (insert something) but you didnt" times, but there were still some funny moments... Except for Trevor taking parts off of the Jaguar. We thought that that was just plain stupid. But the ritual, the shower, and the "WhErE aRe You?? iM GoNnA kiLl YoU" part with Trevor waving the plunger around and the thieves hiding around made me wheeze, also Trevor becoming so desperate that he burnt down the whole house. That was hilarious for me idek why. The show reminds of that old indie game that never really took off that was basically about killing pesky insects in the house. I remember watching a gameplay of it and by the end of the level, the whole house was also burnt down into a crisp. It was hilarious lmao

One of the best shows on Netflix. I must say this. Thank you God that this show contains zero GDs. Literally everything on Netflix, like Stranger Things which I love, has multiple uses of GDs. It's so refreshing not to hear GD on a TV show. Thank you for making a program that doesn't need swearing/ GD in it. You see kids. You don't need to say GD to be entertained. Absolutely love Man Vs Bee aka Mr. Bean Vs a Bee.

I didn't really like it. We have seen this a thousand times already and Trvor is just frsutratingly stupid. Its not like Mr. Bean, who gets into relatable situations and deals with them in the most selfish way possible, making it even more funny when it bites him in the ass later. Trevor is a guy whom you want to see succeed, but he's just too stupid to live. At some point I wondered why he was so obsessed with the Bee in the first place and his ex wife mentiones at some point that this is not the first time something like this is happening. So I thought it would have been a nice twist if the Bee was imaginary, that he fealt guilty for failing his marriage and is therefore self sabotaging any chance it gets. But no, the show was just very stupid and unfunny.

Finally something awesome to watch after all woke netflix forces into our throats
